Do not trust Motel 6/Studio 6 in Summerville, SC!!

Never got to stay because they gave my paid downstairs room away out from under me!!! I had talked to them again just 1 1/2 hrs before arriving to confirm everything was set (downstairs close to prkn), was told everything was set & I could park in frt of my room. When I got there I was told that someone on earlier shift gave my rm away. When I SD that I just called & spk to them to confirm it the lady SD yes I spk to you on the phone but she told me everything was confirmed UNTIL I GOT THERE after a 7 1/2 hrs drive.! Then it was a different story & this was for 6 nights wrkn in the area. Then I also find out the elevator was broken & I can't do stairs bc awaiting BK surgery & this was all put in the initial reservation info. Pd for accessible rm. Found out a Swt Tea Festival was going on over wkend so I guess they made more money by selling me out. Thank goodness for ********** bc they got on the phone & helped me to relocate to a much better place bc everywhere I called was filled up. Had to stay further away, but they were awesome in taking care of matters for me! I highly recommend & praise them !!!

Okay if you need a quick place to stay.

Pros: A/C unit is decent it kept the room nice and cold. Showers are good. Has cable TV which you watch shows and hook a laptops to watch whatever on that. Has a microwave and a minifridge.

Cons: Place has roaches. Room 209 has a musky smell. Shower curtains do a poor job at keeping the water in the shower. Room lighting is very poor except for the mirror light and bathroom light.

Overall the roaches is what really upset me the most. I had to double check all my stuff to make sure none came with me. Very sure the smell is due to the roaches aswell. All the other complaints I had are minor but im also not that picky.

Was given 3 rooms till I had a clean one first one some one was on second not cleaned or made 3rd was ok. Trash all over never taken out wasn't even sure the elavator was gonna make it.

No sleep.

Could not get any sleep too noisy. Residents of hotel playing car music loudly until 2 o'clock in the morning because office closes at 11. I do not recommend this hotel if you want to get some sleep.

The room was filthy! The curtain did not fit the window allowing anyone to see in the room with the curtain closed. When it was brought to the attention of the staff, nothing was done. No resolution was offered. They got their money and that is all they cared about. A crude remodel was done that was poorly done and incomplete. There was a table and no chair(s). There was no toilet tissue or a holder in the room

Short Getaway

This hotel is currently under renovation but the rooms were amazing and clean. The hotel is in walking distance to many restaurants and a Walmart and located right off the interstate. The only thing we didn’t enjoy were the renovations crews working so early so you couldn’t relax during the day if you wanted too. But other than it was nice stay.
