Cricketers inn, Amazing hospitality , staff went the extra mile, from start to finish. Very relaxed atmosphere. Sophie was particularly helpful and super friendly. She really made us stay welcoming. Comfortable stay , very clean. Would most definitely recommend great value for money .

The facilities here are now much smarter than they were a few years back. Clean, comfortable and bright bedrooms, a good bathroom with effective shower, and a very good breakfast. The beer at the bar is good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Couldn't get tv to work because weak Internet coffee machine ok but a kettle for tea please. Had dinner first night not the best. Breakfast was included but only contintal which would have been ok if more choice no breads meats cheeses. Cereal only 3 choices 2 of which contained nuts so not great.

Never again I am afraid. I’m not a negative person and always try and give the benefit of the doubt but this was just awful. The food bought out for my children was wrong and they would not change it saying that they weee very busy and the portion. Bought out was an adult portion. I could not quite believe what I was hearing when I was told that but I didn’t want to make a scene in front of my children or parents so the kids ate a few of the chips and that was it. My dad’s beef was like warm and tough. We were also made to wait an hour for our food with no apology or offer of a drink. At the end of the meal we were all quite annoyed as what was supposed to be a nice family meal turned out to be the opposite. When the bill came I went up to pay and asked for the children’s meals to be removed from the bill. I was told that we would still be charged but given a discount off of those two meals, I explained that my children did not eat the food bought out because it was not what they ordered. The owner would not listen to reason which was again really poor service. The waiter and waitress I have to say were great so hats off to them. I would not recommend eating here. Absolute joke. We had to then go and buy food for my children after.

The pub itself was cosy and inviting with a lovely log fire. Had food with family on Pizza night. Best Pizzas we have ever had! Also sampled the owners English wines. Very tasty. Staff were so pleasant, friendly and helpful. Felt very spoilt. My room was clean and comfortable with everything you would need. Would definitely recommend The Cricketers Inn.

Looking for a stop for food before making my way to Portsmouth for a ferry crossing I wanted somewhere I could safely park up my bike and leave the luggage in place. This place is a great find! Food service started at 6pm (Tuesday) and although the pub is famed for their steak sandwich, on the specials board was a pulled beef brisket burger! This was fresh and tasty and washed down with a pint from the Flower Pot Brewery. After 360 miles on the road, this place was a worthwhile reward to set me up for my onward travels. Great friendly service, great food and a good array of drinks for all tastes.

酒店回复: Thanks for a great review. I hope you got the ferry ok and made it to the Dordogne in plenty of time.
