The Raven Hotel in Hook is a fantastic choice for business travel. Its location by the train station is ideal, but the service is what really shines.
The entire team was excellent, providing professional and friendly service throughout my stay. Special mention to Valentina and Miranda, who were exceptional hosts—attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming.
The breakfast was another highlight. Forget the tired hot buffet; here, you get a delicious, freshly cooked-to-order meal that perfectly jumpstarts a busy workday.
For any business traveller seeking efficiency, comfort, and top-tier hospitality, this hotel comes highly recommended. I will certainly return.

Welcome was genuine, room spotlessly clean, the bar / restaurant was a few steps away and it was excellent value for money; what’s not to love?

Contrary to previous reviews, there was a person at reception checking me in (c.17:30), the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the bed had four pillows and best of all, the hotel is across the car park to Hook Train Station - which is 10 mins to Basingstoke and less than an hour to London Waterloo. There is a large TESCO Supermarket across the railway bridge.

Plenty of free parking. Rooms are ok. Beds are comfy. Some areas of the property require some TLC e.g. repainting of bedroom walls, doors way etc repainting, and some new carpet here and there.

The room was ok,on ground floor,was woken up at midnight, by loud voices until 2:.30a m! Not conducive to a good stay,!however had booked a return night,which needed to changed, this proved a problem, the evening meal was alright.

We had to walk up 42 steps to get to our room carrying our baggage. The place is adequate but dated and the hot water difficult to adjust safely. A window in our room was ajar and there was rot and mold around the frame which caused us to leave it that way. There is no one attending the front desk as the person who checked us in did double duty in the restaurant. The food was fine.

Shower was faulty couldn't have a proper shower as had to hold it while showering
Bedroom dated, marks all over the walls needs very much updating

Cant fault anything. Hotel and restaurant staff fab. Food was grest especially the pies. Would stay again.
