Stayed May 04 to May 07, 2025. Great property. The interiors are great. Huge lawns. Staff is very good. The meals excellent.

"The WelcomHeritage Fernhills Palace in Ooty, a magnificent 150-year-old heritage property once owned by the King of Mysore, offers a truly regal experience set across 50 sprawling acres. This colonial masterpiece showcases exquisite teakwood craftsmanship and elegant drapery throughout its intimate setting of just 18 rooms. Our check-in was seamless, and we were graciously upgraded to the Regent Suite – a stunning accommodation featuring a spacious living area, grand 10-seater dining table, bedroom, powder room, and luxurious bathroom. While the property shows some signs of its age, the staff maintains its historic charm admirably. The palace houses a majestic restaurant, a dedicated high tea area, and a bar (temporarily closed but reopening soon). Adding to its natural charm, peaceful Gaurs and wild pigs can often be spotted grazing on the lawns. The service was exceptional, particularly in the restaurant where Chef Iqbal Hussain went above and beyond, preparing special off-menu dishes at our request. The food quality was consistently outstanding. Though this grand palace would benefit from some careful renovation, it remains a remarkable destination. To enhance the guest experience, we'd suggest adding activities like barbecues, campfires, and children's programs to complement the property's inherent majesty."

Hotel is so asthmatic. Rooms are so big and comfortable. All necessary things are available. Staff are so humble and nice. Food is ok.

An excellent palace with pure heritage culture. The place is surrounded by acres of land. With beautiful gardens and architecture of colonial style. I’m pretty impressed and quite breakfast with south indian and english cuisine.

这家酒店相当破旧。它曾经辉煌一时，但岁月的侵蚀已使其面目全非。而且看起来并不怎么热闹。员工非常友好。对于喜欢昔日风情的人来说，这里绝对是个好去处。
一座宏伟的历史建筑，拥有许多回忆：宽敞的套房、三层高的餐厅。一个非常美丽的公园，有高大的树木。 不幸的是，维护工作还不尽如人意，而且该建筑正在老化。服务有点慢，而且饭菜与装饰不符。但最终我们并不后悔自己的选择，因为正是这样的地方给我们留下了永恒的回忆！
