The rooms are old fashioned and there is no heater so they can get cold in winter, I had several blankets on in order to make it through the night. Host was welcoming and the breakfast was good. The garden area wasn't really used as it was winter. There was a small cat which kept getting into the rooms. Shower in the bathroom does not have its own cubicle - is more of a walk in.

We bumped into this lovely guesthouse and garden, by wandering through the authentic streets of Berat. Attracted by the beautiful garden, with grape plants, we were welcomed by the owner Lorenc to have some home made wine. Lorenc is running this guesthouse together with his family since many years. During our drinks, we talked about things in life, Albania and politics. You noticed quickly that holding this guesthouse together with his family and meeting people from all over the world is something he cares about a lot! Everything he does for the guests, seems to come from the heart :-) Not only we had a great conversation, we listed to him singing and playing on the guitar and after he showed us the charming 400y old house. The guesthouse feels like home, with such a warm family and experience!

We stayed last year at Lorenc Guesthouse and the stay was unforgetable. He and his wife are great hosts, she offers great things to eat and enjoy their fantastic terrace and he is a master of showing Berat to the visitors. I would come back every time I visit Albania. Thanks for your hospitality.

Beautiful, historical guesthouse with excellent host. Lorenc has kindly showed us around his beautiful guesthouse and told all about the history of the house. The view from the guesthouse is absolutely spectacular. There’s also a lovely restaurant located in the garden. The place is very well looked after and had a very calming and relaxing vibe. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Berat I highly recommend you to check out Lorenc guesthouse.
