Avoid Down Town Apartments in Gdańsk! My wife and I booked an apartment through Down Town Apartments, expecting a comfortable stay in the center of Gdańsk. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the apartment had no curtains—something completely unacceptable, especially during summer when the sun rises around 4:00 AM. This was a serious issue for us, as both of us are sensitive to light and suffer from migraines. We contacted the company immediately, and they arranged a move to a different apartment. Unfortunately, the new apartment was a major downgrade. It was located much farther from the city center and was surrounded by constant noise—from neighbors on both sides and above, as well as ongoing construction. It didn’t quiet down until around 3:00 AM. On top of that, the overall quality and cleanliness of the new apartment were poor. After just one uncomfortable night, we contacted the company again, but they refused to move us to another unit. We were left with no choice but to book a new hotel ourselves—at a significant additional cost. What should have been a relaxing trip quickly turned into a stressful and expensive experience. To make matters worse, the company eventually stopped responding to our messages altogether. Their customer service was deeply disappointing, and their handling of the situation was completely unprofessional. I strongly advise against using Down Town Apartments in Gdańsk. This is not a trustworthy or customer-focused company, and our experience was both frustrating and costly.
