Property/room was not what was pictured when i booked stay. Clerk was nice, the room was absolutely the worst. Bed cover had mold and mildew, dust all over the bed, dead bugs on the floor in numerous areas. Trash behind nightstand. Wouldnt even consider using the jacuzzi tub.Asked for a different room and while it was better, it still had dead bugs. Bed was uncomfortable and hwy noise was tolerable given the conditions. Would never stay here again. Felt like we should have been compensated more than just switching rooms and watching the night clerk clean.

Great for the night

We stayed in Hillsboro after a concert in Waco. The room is clean, comfortable and perfect for what we need it for. The lady who checked us in said s amazing. She was super friendly and helpful when our tv wasn’t working.

The room was poorly furnished and remodeling work was unprofessional and lacking of proper skills. No seating furniture to enjoy tv or eat a meal. The desk clerk was very friendly and professional 5 stars for him.

The property was in the condition that I expected for the rate they were receiving. It was not perfect but acceptable for the one night we were staying. We were trying to be reasonable and not expect too much. The room could have been a little cleaner, the bed could have been better (something popped every time my wife moved) but for the price, we could accept those items.

The rooms dont look like the picture on the website. Supposedly the rooms are smoke-free and they smell horrible. The property parking lot is very dirty with cigarettes butts everywhere. Trash bags and old washer under the stairs aslo they dont have a swimming pool anymore.

Upon checking in, I found that the floor had not been swept and I found a walnut size cockroach on it's back and still alive. I went to ask for a dustpan and broom. I went back to the office with the intention of showing them (no yelling involved) that their housekeeping staff is not doing an adequate job and the young female receptionist accused me of being disrespectful. I was a bit confused and flabbergasted. They accepted my money in exchange for a clean room and she felt that I was the disrespectful one. Then she told me that she wanted us to check out and leave. I said no because I had no where else to go. She stated that she could tell that I was the type of person who would complain about everything until I checked out. She proceeded to tell me that she'd rather I didn't stay because she knows I'm going to give a bad review. I told her that I had not planned on doing that but I would certainly be doing that now due to her rudeness. I went back to my room and a few minutes later the phone rang. She was calling me to tell us that she wanted us to check out and if we did not, she would call the cops. I told her that if she could find me a hotel nearby, I would gladly leave (there were no hotel rooms available anywhere because it was the day before the eclipse). I had pre-paid $75 for this room and I think she wanted me to leave so she could re-rent it for twice the cost to some desperate person looking for a last minute room. Cops never came. Horrible woman.

We arrived sometime in August 2022 and stayed until January 2023. We would've left after the first couple of weeks, but we stayed because of Christine. Christine is really the only person who seemed to care about this place and she was the only housekeeper the entire time we were there. She would start work at 6:30am some days and work till 10pm or later.. The owners don't care about their property or their guests. They allowed many of their guests to turn it into a garbage dump.. Trash was thrown all over the parking lot. They didn't enforce guests to pick up their dog crap. They, literally, didn't care. The most enjoyable time we spent there was when they went back to India for the holidays. The entire atmosphere changed when they were gone. Back to Christine, she is overworked, under paid and completely 100% under appreciated. The owners use and abuse her and blame her for everything. They left someone completely incompetent in charge while they were gone and several rooms flooded during the cold snap that happened. Including our room. So instead of taking care of the paying guests there and getting them in a dry room, he spent over an hour going to empty rooms turning on faucets. Common sense would've been to turn on the rooms heat, but he lacks that. We lost several personal items from we had to use to try to hold back the water. No offers of compensations were made for our troubles. All he did was try to place the blame solely on Christine's shoulders. Yet she's the one who got a plumber to come out on Christmas Eve. She's the one who called the cable and internet companies when they acted up. The owners DO NOT care at all. They literally just want your money.. Also they can't agree on prices for the rooms. When I called to check prices I was told 1 price. I called back later and was given another price. When we arrived I was given a 3rd price. Varonda, refused to honor the price I believe her husband gave me. She told me if I didn't like it I could leave. But since this place was actually the "cheapest" if you can call it that and 1 of the few that allowed dogs, we stayed. As I stated they don't care about their guests or their workers.
