The staff was great but the property needs repair. My wife and I were in the elevator and a very loud bang sound occurred when we stopped on the first floor and the door did not open immediately, and we became afraid that we were stuck. Later, the elevator was out of water and very thankful to be on the first floor. Also, the lounge chairs around the pool were broken, and in various states of disrepair. Additionally, the lifting chair to allow handicap people into the pool, have a broken seat and all these items add up.

Room smelled/felt musty when going in. Next morning found a booklice was crawling on my phone, one on my glasses, and a few on me. They don't bite, but still not something I want.

As far as our stay, the hotel was convenient when traveling back and forth between Galveston and Alvin. It was in a safe and quiet area and parking always available. As far as the hotel itself, it took over 10 minutes for someone to notice we were there to check in after ringing the bell multiple times. This happened twice. The room needs repairs in the bathroom and there is considerable rust shoeing around the door and the bathroom tub.
The tiles were also loose in the bathroom floor. We had to ask for extra towels as only one was provided for two of us staying in the room. I had

Upon arrival, the front desk isn't dressed professionally and not very welcoming and were charged a mandatory $8 hotel service fee for each room aside from what we paid with ******* for the 4 rooms, which conflicts with ******* policy. Also, the complimentary breakfast availability is terrible. They barely put anything out, not even at 6 am everything was pretty much empty. After sitting and watching other guest they ran into the same experience- dissappointed to say the least. Same experience for both days, it wasn't till I asked the front desk he added some bananas. No yogurt, barely any cereal and the one that was available was stale, waffle mix out, no orginal coffee, oatmel. no fruit, maybe 2 muffins out lol terrible experience! Whoever is running is very cheap! Will never stay here again.

Just an average stay
As for a continental breakfast offering there was no fruit and no bread even to make a piece of toast. In the fitness room there were no towels available and the treadmill was broken. The elliptical machine and bicycle were very wobbly and not safe to use. In the bathroom the shower curtain was too short and water got on bathroom floor. The door to the room was warped and needed to be forced open or closed. There was a very strong chemical smell when you entered the building and our room had a musty smell. Location had dining and some basic shopping nearby. The parking lot had bright lighting and was safe.

Smelly room, shady people working
Horrible experience. AC out at home prompted the stay. After paying with a CC I was repeatedly asked for 50 dollar cash deposit with no explanation as to what it was for. Then the room itself was terrible. Smelled awful. So bad that there was an air purifier in the room, but a deep cleaning would have been better. The air in the room was damp and moldy could be smelled. Overall the room was pretty disgusting. So bad I'm fact that I only stayed in the room for about 8 hours and then checked out a whole day early. Went and sat in a house with no AC instead of staying here.

Great Stay!
We were here all week and enjoyed every minute! The rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is good and the pool is clean. The lady that ran breakfast all week did an amazing job! All staff was nice and effecient!
