"Non-smoking" room smelled of cigarettes. Complained to employee at front desk and he said there was another room available -- that one smelled even worse.
Door to room did not shut properly, so if we were to leave the room, anyone could walk in. Complained to same staffer who said it couldn't be fixed that day.
AVOID this place at all costs.

Checking in was easy get to the room and it’s someone else’s stuff in there trash beds unmade so then they give us a different room and it looked okay but there was bugs around the room the bathtub was dirty the carpet was filthy!!!! We will not be returning!!

Room had dead bugs and gnats flying around, light in the sink area was out. The onky reason i have stayed here several times is the close proximity to boat access to lake St. Clair. Best 5/10

I purchased for three days and pulled him out of there 2 days early. O you want a refrigerator that’s extra o you want a microwave that’s extra or by the way you need to pay in cash $20.00 check in fee. After I just paid $ 221.00.
Never again will stay at a red roof inn. Garbage
Keep the 20 and two day stay cost.

Great Improvements
Much more attention to detail than the last few years. Nice linens on the bed, nice big high-def television, clean room, no cracks and unfinished repairs in the bathroom. New management is turning the motel around!

Everything was good for the most part. I aaw some mold in shower. Plus carpet around the bes wasn't cleaned. It had the smell of urine in the room. Definitely needs to be taken care of.

Upgrade/fix rooms
From desk was nice. He said they were upgrading me because they ran out of room for the size that I picked. The first one he gave me smelled like mildew as soon as you open the door. The second one he gave me was better. However, the CV did not turn on. This will be the last time we're staying here.

They refused to refund the remaining 2 days on a 3 day stay even though I had insurance on my booking for cancellations.
