Sleepless in Binghamton
Let me just preface my review by saying that I am a 70 y.o. activist who frequently travels alone and rarely can make a reservation in advance. I dont drive after dark so wherever I am, my reservation is made within minutes of wherever the sun sets. A family member recommended motel 6- where they leave the light on. This time, i wish they'd left the heat on. It was 41 degrees outside & colder indoors. I searched for a thermostat- and I was told it was in the air conditioner. Ok, the air conditioner was up high on the wall.
There's no elevator and i was on the 2nd floor. After climbing the stairs & finally getting in the room @ 7:30p ( the key card worked but to open the door, you had to PULL UP the handle instead of down) all i wabted was warmth.
I had to use a wooden chair & nightstand ( thank you for not bolting it to the wall) to turn it on. All night it was on 86 and it never got warm until 8am when I checked out.
The amenities- free parking. No liner for the ice bucket, a microwave that had a "door lock" , no facial tissue, toiletries or a close t. IT WAS NOT WORTH $121. Needless to say, I would have fared better sleeping in my car, at least I h ave good heat in it.

Staff was great, if I asked for anything they accommodated me. The only complaint I have is if I'm paying $100 a day I should be able to wash my clothes both of the washers were down the entire 10 days I stayed there.

Front desk service was prompt, friendly and easy. Bed and shower were clean. Walls looked like things had been spilled/splashed all over. The room smelled musty and awful. Mattresses were average.

Fine. I turned the heat on and became comfortable . The only thing lacking was a bath mat in the bathtub. Being an older person (72), I am starting to be afraid of falling. Other than that, the room was excellent! I will definitely use Motel 6 as a choice to book my stay, and tell my traveling companions how awesome you are

No amenities. No tissues, no shampoo/conditioner. Towels are unusable since so dirty and old. Beds are uncomfortable and smelly. The room charge does not match the quality. All the hotels around the area was sold out and no choice this time but never again

room is basic. all extras removed - no alarm clock, power ***** zipped tied to wall sconce. shower floor dated, bed basic but comfortable.
need a quick overnight stay with no comforts of home, this is your place.
