Stopped for an overnight stay on 6/9. Its in the mountains, so lots of tall trees and scary shadows, but no cause for alarm as the police were driving through as I grabbed my bag and headed to the room. Friendly check-in, and free AM coffee in the lobby. Vending and ice there as well. Property was clean, with new playground equipment. Rooms are outdoor access and I was able to park my car right at the door. Room had a new floor and pretty new furnishings. Bed was comfy, and a/c worked fine. TV was pretty good with loads of channels. WIFI worked fast. This is not a fancy place, put its right off the I-80, and there is a service station/convience store and a Wendys across the road. The gentleman at the desk was also there in the AM and still a happy inn-keeper.

Attempted to stay at my old favorite motel in which the previous management treated me as a wanted guest for more than a decade. This time, there was no breakfast and the wife said there has been problems for over 2 1/2 months with guests complaining about the Internet. The wife finagled for service, but it promptly disconnected. When the husband was told, he appeared agitated and scary and suggested guests could leave if they didn't like it at 11: 30 pm. I checked out the next morning and paid extra to have Internet, breakfast and a nice, clean room with 100 TV channels at another hotel. I couldn't see the small TV from the far away bed with a few TV channels. Clothespins hold the curtain shut; e A/C is noisy and difficult to regulate. I will not be returning.
