Everything is under construction. It would have been nice to know before booking. Overpriced for the conditions in the building.

Property is licated at a very convenient location with walkable distance to main street, shopping and few dining options as well, including a restaurant in basement.
But the hitel was open during construction when i went this weekend (10/17 - 10/19) 2025.
So the decks are closed and second floor qhere i stayed didn't had flooring in the middle of yhe hall way and construction debris here and there.
Also the toilet was not flushing when i arrived. Staff came immediately and cleared it but the water force qmwas very poor even after that.
Won't be recommending in current conditions.

酒店回复: Thank you for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your recent stay from October 17–19. While the hotel remains open during renovations, we understand that the closed decks, exposed flooring on the second floor, and visible construction debris created an environment that did not meet your expectations. We’re especially sorry for the issue with the toilet upon arrival. While we’re glad our staff responded promptly, the continued low water pressure is unacceptable and not reflective of the standards we aim to uphold.Your feedback is invaluable as we work to improve both our facilities and communication during this transitional period. We regret that your stay was impacted and appreciate your honesty. We hope to welcome you back once renovations are complete and the property is restored to its full potential.

I understand the property is under renovation, however there was not an ice maker on our floor. There was nobody at the front desk when checking in at 4:45 pm. We waited 15 minutes and decided to have dinner and come back for check-in.

Excellent Staff! Our rooms were clean but a bit dated and there was noisy construction activity on our floor. One the rehab is done, this will once again be a spectacular hotel.

Cleanliness and safety are top priorities, and we apologize for any discomfort or inconvenience caused. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to guide improvements as we work to enhance the guest experience during and after renovations.

The only positive is the location
It's not unreasonable to adjust a price down instead of up for the condition of the property!
Check in: I waited for about 15 min for a phone call to end, only to be dismissed for a man that walked up 10 min after. There was no mention of the EXTENSIVE construction.
Elevator: slow and exited to cardboard floor, dismantled ice machine, open rooms with no walls or ceiling, but available tools and low light in hallways.
Room: spacious but only had hot water for super early morning showers, not for afternoon shower or water hot enough to dissolve Epsom salt.
Staff direction to waterfront were sketchy and unhelpful. Afternoon desk staff loudly discussed his poor mood by 4:00 with other staff members. No hint of area activities or safe crossing of a highway through a tunnel that apparently exists.
Breakfast: I only tried a waffle but the batter was runny like it was watered down to stretch further and cooked poorly and had no taste.
We did not have a mouse (rodent) in our room but easily could have as the neighbors said they ushered one into the hall.
Check out: the desk staff was not unpleasant but seemed aware enough not to ask how the stay was.
The hotel has so much potential based on the outside being so beautiful, but $350/night for a city view was mind-blowing for the condition of the hotel and the gentleman at the desk who seemed not grasp the concept of hospitality.

酒店回复: Dear Molly,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I want to begin by sincerely apologizing for the experience you had during your stay with us. Your observations are deeply concerning and not reflective of the standards we strive to uphold. We regret that your check-in experience was delayed and that you felt dismissed — every guest deserves prompt and respectful attention. The lack of communication regarding ongoing construction is unacceptable, and we are reviewing our procedures to ensure all guests are properly informed in advance.Your remarks about staff interactions and lack of local guidance are especially troubling. Hospitality begins with genuine care and helpfulness, and I’m truly sorry that this was not your experience. We are reinforcing training to ensure our team consistently delivers warm, informed service.Regarding breakfast quality and cleanliness concerns, including the report of a rodent in the hallway, I’ve escalated these issues to our food and safety teams. We take these matters seriously and are committed to maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for all guests.I understand your frustration with the rate charged, especially given the condition of the property. While pricing is influenced by many factors, your point is valid — and we are actively reviewing our rate structure during renovation periods to ensure it aligns with the guest experience.Your comment about the hotel’s potential is appreciated. We agree — the exterior beauty should be matched by an exceptional experience inside. We are working hard to get there, and your feedback is helping us do just that. Please accept my personal apology and know that we are taking corrective steps. If you’re open to it, I’d welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly and make this right.Warm regards,Seth MorrisGeneral ManagerThe Hotel Chequamegon
除了空调整晚开开关关,非常非常非常吵,即使我重新打开也完全没有风,吹出来的全是热风,根本睡不着觉。除此之外,酒店很漂亮,干净,员工也很友好!
