I was looking to stay near Six Flags again after my stay here last year. I saw this hotel is now shut down and for some reason the pictures show the Econo Lodge up the road. This is a completely different hotel. I dont need to get into details about the Wingate since its abandoned but lets just say nobody is going to miss it. A complete mess during my stay last year. Good riddance

Been driving for 9 hours and needed to rest before i died in a fiery car wreck. Came here with high hopes because the price tag was $60, fell for the scam immediately. Room literally said, stay at your own risk. The lock was made out of putty, floor so cold my feet went numb, dust everywhere, and the classic dirty suitcase holder. Stole the clean soap bars in case this situation ever happened again

I do NOT recommend this hotel!!! Yes it’s close to 6Flags, that’s all it’s going on. Everything was OUT OF ORDER! No pool, no ice, no vending machines, dirty rooms, broken a/c and broken elevator!!!! We were on the 3rd floor. Stayed 4 days had to request towels and TP- housekeeping didn’t visit daily, in fact not at all! Per local PD not a family safe area! Be warned- lots of car break ins too!

The room was filled with roaches. The smoke detector beeped the entire stay. The elevator didn’t work. There was no breakfast. The room keys didn’t work half the time. I would give it a 0 star honestly.

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE BURNED AND SOLD TO A COMPANY THAT CARES. It is the most disgusting place. I put my clothes in boiling water. Only reason why I stayed 1 out of 3 of our nights was because I traveled all day and was exhausted.checked both beds for bugs and luckily didn’t find any but I’m sure they were in the building. Burn this place, start new.

This hotel is in terrible shape. The elevator was out. There was no exercise equipment at all. The pool was mostly drained and the water was green. There was no breakfast, the staff said they didn't have enough to put out. in the room the fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and hairdryer did not work. The room next door had a busted out lock and handle. Many of the outlets did not work. The fire alarm was hanging by wires. There was a broken lamp. the grounds were overgrown. Someone propped the side door open with a stick. This hotel is not being run well at all.

I do not understand how this place is allowed to be open. Our room was disgusting, included an ice bucket containing a urine-soaked wash cloth. The A/C was broken. No ice machines anywhere. The evening staff was not able or willing to assist with any issues. We were told we had to wait until after 10am the next day to get any assistance with toilet paper, shampoo, and towels. No rollaway bed (which I called previously to confirm they had in stock). The pool was empty and looked like it had not been used in at least a year. There was no 'breakfast' to speak of. The abandoned and stripped car in the parking lot was a nice touch. Contacting Wyndham support for help, got me no where. They sent me right back to talk to the hotel staff, explaining that the hotels are independently owned and they cannot do anything about it. That went nowhere. We had to leave and find another hotel for the rest of our vacation. Later in the day. I received a call asking why we checked out several days early. When I began to explain the issues, the staff member did not sound surprised nor offered any apology. To be fair to them, I am sure i was not the only person to complain or leave. At best - this place is disgusting. At worst - it is an unsafe place to stay.

One of the worst places I have ever stayed! Some recent water damage has half the hotel closed and the other half in shambles. The lobby lights flicker, the smell, the ice machines are all broken, the AC in both of our rooms was twice as loud and half as effective as they should have been, and only one vending machine in the hotel worked at all and was poorly stocked. The staff was indifferent and even rude. Both our rooms were dirty and there was no toilet paper or shampoo (but 4 tubes of conditioner) and the front desk didn't have any of either. Both elevators are broken and the pool is drained and has been for a long time by the looks of it. The "Hot Breakfast" consisted of a couple of packets of instant oatmeal (with no bowls), half a pitcher of warm orange juice (juice machine out of order) and lukewarm coffee with a communal tub of coffee mate creamer. I understand that sometimes things happen, but other than my pillow and the TV nothing worked and we were concerned for our safety with nobody manning the desk most of the time and the general state of disrepair and filth. We left 2 days early and went to a better hotel about 3 miles further away from Six Flags and paid about double but it was well worth the money! Do NOT stay at this hotel!

DO NOT STAY HERE! When I arrived there was no sign of any employees in the building. I waited at the front desk for 45 minutes before someone came in to start their shift. The person who was working previously had left early without having anyone in the building to cover. I was not the only one waiting either. There was another girl waiting to check in as well as a guest who had moved rooms but now had bags locked in his old room with no way to get them since there were no employees. Finally when the next front desk woman did arrive, I told her how long we had been waiting and she did not have an ounce of care. She logged into her computer and tells starts laughing and says that the system needs to restart. We wait another 15 minutes and she says it is under maintenance and she is not sure how long it will take. I had already paid for my room so I was not leaving. She ends up calling her manager who says that there is nothing we can do and that I cannot stay there even though I had a confirmation email and everything. This is the worst experience I have ever had and will not be coming back.
