Terrible inept staff
When the concert was over I went to check in but the hotel canceled my reservation but still charged me bc we showed up after 11pm. Furious and staff had to idea how to handle anything?!

Nobody at the front desk past 10pm. Have to use their phone in the vestibule for anybody to pick up. Probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in. Guess there’s descent amenities in the room (full fridge, kitchenette without any utensils). Next time will pay the extra $10 for a real bed and service.

Very good place to stay, the staff is nice and service is good, location is great and overall property conditions are very good; I would definitely stay at this hotel if I were to return to Michigan for business or pleasure.

Worst check in experience ever
Late check-in was absolutely awful. We missed regular check in by about 5 minutes so followed the instructions for after hours check ins by dialing zero. It rang for about 10 minutes with no answer so I called the hotel’s actual number and got connected to “Mike” who said I needed to call the number on the phone to talk to guest services, who would then call him to come down. After explaining several times that I DID call the posted number and it rang for 10 minutes without an answer and explaining that I just wanted to check in, he finally sighed and said he’d be down in a few minutes. Once he finally came down, he tried to re-charge me for my prepaid room (not just a hold for incidentals). Once he actually checked me in, he didn’t even ask for my card for incidentals so be careful when checking in for a prepaid room. My husband, daughter, and I ALL had to sign a ridiculous “no partying” agreement as well. I’ve signed things like that in the past but making my 11 year old do it was a bit ridiculous.
The room itself was old but fine. The beds were clean (a bit firm but I like that), and the room had a new tv, but the fridge was grubby on the outside and there were some other grubby spots throughout. Free wifi was included but I didn’t connect to it based on the shadiness of the check-in guy.

Great staff!
My stay at this hotel was extremely nice. Although, a wheelchair accessible room was not available, the staff made me feel very comfortable and I would visit there again. However, breakfast the breakfast did not offer enough choices.
