I stayed one night at Extended Stay America – Select Suites South End, Mishawaka South, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We were checked into a room that had no hot water and a shower backing up with sewage coming from the drain, making it completely unusable. When I went downstairs to report the issue, I discovered that no one works the front desk at night—the area was closed off by a metal gate, leaving no way to speak with staff or request a new room. After a long day at a football game and with an early flight the next morning, we had no ability to take a shower, either that night or the next morning. I’ve since tried to contact the hotel multiple times and was told the general manager would call me back, but no one ever responded. The property itself is also in poor condition—the hallways are stained, it smells unpleasant, and the room was not well-maintained. This is false advertising and completely unacceptable for a hotel charging over $400 for one night. I strongly recommend avoiding this property—spend your money elsewhere.

Never have I ever paid this much for a room.
It was in a great location and the girls at the front were SO nice!! The room on the other hand, needed to be cleaned. There was a random M&M on the floor and the desk had some sort of food crust that was completely missed when it was “cleaned”. Our shower head also wasn’t turning on so we got to take showers with just the main water faucet. The bed was nicely made and clean (i throughly inspected it) there is NO way this room should have been 6 times the amount of what they regularly charge just because of a football game. Oh well. 😂

No soap
I know you get what you pay for but there wasn’t even a little bar of soap to wash your hands with after using the bathroom. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel, no matter how cheap, that didn’t supply a little bar of soap to wash your hands!

Not Nice
We stayed one night and when checked into our room it was nothing like the photos online. There was mold in the tub/ shower area. Hole in the ceiling by the vent, water bugs All over the bathroom floor, holes in the couch, stains also on furniture.
