Ok, probably wont go again
Hotel was OK. It smelled like a combination of smoke breath and halitosis. Room wasn't too bad, but the bathroom is showing some wear. Walls near the bathtub were crumbling and the tub itself was peeling apart. Staff was friendly at least.

Nice place to lay your head after a long day. indoor pool and typical continental breakfast. Lots of activities and dining within 5 minutes of Hotel.

At check in the clerk tried talking me into a hot tub room for an additional $30. No. Received my room key, did not take one step in the room and was overwhelmed with cigarette smoke smell. No questions asked when I asked for a different room. Received the hot tub room. The room was clean. 2 of the 3 lamps did not work, the hot tub pump was running - I turned it off & had parts laying on the edge of the tub. I'll admit I did not listen to the hours of breakfast, normally weekday breakfast goes till 9:00. I went down at 7:50 am to find biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, & a yogurt. There was no protein and he was cleaning the breakfast area up at 8:00 am. I got a 2nd cup of coffee, checked out & head back to my room. Wasn't in my room 10 minutes there was a knock on my door from housekeeping. It was clean & inexpensive, but I won't stay here again.

Place is nasty. Found mold on my bed sheets. Room had a smell to it like mildew. Very moist room as well. Noisy hotel as well. Continental breakfast was a joke. But I guess there was something. I would NEVER stay here again.

Older property. Had stuffy smell in general. Room refrigerator smelled like maple syrup. Beds and pillows were hard and lumpy. Definite signs of aging property not well maintained.

The staff is rude. There’s no elevator and it’s hard to walk around the area because it’s very busy roads and nobody watches out for you.

Good location, nice check in person, comfortable clean breakfast, room was in need of a renovation; specifically there are bubbles in corner of the ceiling, peeling and slightly broken bits around, and housekeeping doesn't leave all the things you need you have to ask for them, and tile floor at entrance was sticky. I didn't walk barefoot. Left only one washcloth and all towels were slightly damp. Bed reasonably comfortable but its run down and needs a reno. Extended my stay and second desk guy would not at first honor the price I had been quoted and tried to get more money out of me, which I rectified, but I didn’t appreciate.

This was my first time staying at a Baymont, as I normally stay at a Marriott at a higher price point.
Pros: It is in a good location where it is close to restaurants and a mall. The price was great for a one night stay, especially since it included breakfast. Family owned so check in felt more friendly. Although the hotel is in need of updating, the updates that have been made were good; new sink and mirror in bathroom, comfy bed, sheets and duvet and blackout curtain. We appreciated the bathroom night light. I was late to breakfast, but the cereal was still out and a worker brought me some milk so I could still have some of the included breakfast. A slightly later check out was also no problem to add at no cost and we enjoyed no parking fees, which a lot of hotels are implementing. It’s a family affair and they clearly work hard at running this hotel.
Cons: Immediately as you enter the hotel I was hit with a strong smell of mothballs. Walking down the corridor I could smell pot coming from a room and inside our own room was another very strong and distracting odor. This is unfortunate as it lets the hotel down and negates an otherwise cost-effective and pleasant stay.
My recommendations for improvements:
* Install HEPA Filters or improve ventilation to reduce the odors.
* Refresh paint in the bedrooms.
* Perhaps bleach or replace bed linens.
* Consider replacing the worn carpeting on the staircase with wood or wood laminate.
