The room bed linen smelled like bleach, the carpets smelled musky. Our room didn’t get cleaned when we came back for the 2nd night. The towels weren't picked up and replaced with fresh ones. The hotel placed me far away from the elevators and we are seniors. Will not be returning..

Additionally, a “Do Not Disturb” sign displayed on the door will prevent our team from entering the room, even on regular service days, to ensure guest privacy.As for room placement, our system assigns rooms automatically unless a specific request is made, and we’re always happy to accommodate accessibility needs when they are shared with us. Excellent budget friendly hotel!! I can't say enough good things about our stay here! The room was clean and super comfortable and quiet. I slept so well! The staff was friendly and nice and we had all the little things that make a difference like good shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles in the shower, coffee machine in room, hair dryer, quiet ac unit. our keys worked the entire time (most places these days I have issues with keys not working well) The location is convenient to restaurants and shopping. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend!! Its what staying in a hotel used to be rather than the bare minimum.

I only met one member of the staff when I checked in. He was corteous but in a desperate need of a haircut or, at least a decent comb. The shower head was screwed in without the plumbers tape, so it sprayed copious amount of water upwards unto the ceiling. The sing drain was caked with gunk. I only found out because the drain plug was lose. Carpet was vaccumed and clean, but stained with age, which is understandable. I did get a welcome text and emails, which was extremely helpful in cutting down checkin-in and check-out time.

After rehearsing Friday afternoon and a 7:00 worship event at First Baptist Church in Mt. Dora, we were quite tired! The bed was so comfortable, it was just amazing!! We slept well and started our day well rested! Thank you so much!

I would have given a 1 star rating except the night clerk was very helpful. The first room we were given was a complete mess. It had a trash bag of papers and other items left in the room along with numerous food items in the refrigerator. There were also items that looked like car parts left in the room. The clerk (I think his name was Sam) apologized, took photos of the room and then got us a better room. It was still hard to shake that first impression and I don’t think we will ever stay at a Microtel place again.
