The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room, view and overlook of the bay was both restful and easy on the eye. I would have liked to have had 2 luggage holders as well as screens on the doors. We would definitely stay there on our next trip to the area.

The room was clean, nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast including freshly made waffles was great. The hotel is a bit older, but definitely well maintained. The only downside I had was the smell from the marsh in the evenings, but there’s not much the hotel can do about that. I just had to remember not to open the balcony door, which I really wanted to do to get some cool cooler air Into the room. That also meant sitting on the balcony in the evenings was not practical. Otherwise I had a great stay and will definitely go back in the future.

The room felt worn. The top surfaces of the furniture were beat up and so sticky nothing could be put down on them. I had a walk in shower that had good water pressure but because of the way it was installed the floor of the bathroom got wet despite using the floor mat. The pool was nice and to me the best part of the entire property.

Lovely place right on the water, clean rooms and kind staff. Free breakfast served every morning and lots of tv channels available. Pool water was a little dirty but everything else was exceptional!

Did not allow pets so will not use this property all the time did not use gym area but looked nice .

Was really ok. Breakfast was a joke area was so small for all those guests and limited food choice. Nice the pool was stilll open
Micowave was dirty from previous guest and light in bathroom had something stuck on . enjoyed the view

When guests are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service or property, it is on us - a small, family-owned and operated business - to do our best to assess and remedy any issues that may arise while staying at the Waterside Inn.Our free grab-and-go breakfast options do change depending on the week and our supplier, but we appreciate the constructive criticism and will take your review into account when restructuring our breakfast program. Additionally, we no longer provide seating in the lobby where breakfast is served as a part of our efforts in the areas of sanitization and cleanliness; we do offer outside seating along the water and encourage guests to take in the views when the weather permits. Given our age and the fact that we are a small business, some of the aspects of our property may not be the most lavish, but we are meticulous about maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. Moreover, we engage in a variety of renovations to our rooms, grounds, and amenities, during each off-season - our brand-new regulation pickleball courts are now open for action!Again, We thank you for your review and hope you consider the Waterside Inn for any future trips to Chincoteague Island. In an ever-changing world, our sunset views are always a constant!

The staff at the Waterside Inn made our Honeymoon absolutely wonderful! Wendy was kind enough to help us when we were going to be late for check in, and the room was better than our expectations! Breakfast was a delicious, simple experience that we both enjoyed, and we loved the views from our room and the spa! Thank you so much to the staff here for their large part in a trip we will remember for the rest of our lives! We do intend to return, and we cannot wait!
