AWFUL place, stay somewhere else! Dirty, smells bad and not updated. We came into town to visit family for Thanksgiving and needed a place to stay that was close to grass lake, Stockbridge and Chelsea. What a disappointment to see how bad this hotel has gotten over the past 20 years. The carpet was extremely worn, stained and held an odor throughout the hotel and rooms. The chair in the room was also stained and worn (see photos). The bed pillows were lumpy and hard. Thank God we could open the window, although there were no screens. The pool was drained and closed, so was the hot tub. The decor has never been updated in the rooms or the lobby. The breakfast was not palatable. Toast, packaged muffins and pre cooked sausage heated up on paper towels. I can’t believe this place has been able to keep their flag in the choice hotel chain, as it certainly doesn’t meet the standards to keep the brand. If you need to stay in Chelsea, stay at the wyndam and avoid this place at all costs.

Dingy and Stained! Lobby and elevator smelled like motor oil. Carpets were disgusting! Would have left except U of M had big events going on and it was as close as we could get to Ann Arbor. Locks didn't read access cards had to try multiple times just to get into the room. Breakfast not bad - best I can say for this awful hotel. Charge big rate for weekend - worst place we've stayed in in years!

Neat and clean, great breakfast, friendly staff, adequate fitness center. Good value for your money. Convenient to I-94, restaurants and stores. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. I was in town for family reasons, spending multiple nights, and was never disappointed with their services.

Even thou hotel is waiting for refurbishment GM Veronica Hubler has turned this hotel around and it is clean and very nice again to stay at and the pool too!! The morning breakfast food is excellent and the staff very friendly and professional: Ethan, Brian, Katie, Ken. We look forward to staying there again! The Beds are comfortable!! Thank you!

If I could give a -10, I would. This hotel was very dated and smelled so bad. It has not been updated since it was built. Nothing good to say about it other than a big refrigerator that was very cold. It was hot, the air conditioning was terrible. It smelled very musty. And the furniture in the room was worn and tattered.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! DIRTY!!!!!! ***** hairs and stains on sheets, stained carpet and drapes. Asked for clean sheets but had to changes them ourselves then noticed a dried brown substance on the blanket!!! No housekeeping or manager on site. Do not stay here!

I have had the pleasure of staying here and would highly recommend this hotel. a very nice comfortable room with a great bed and pool / hot tub. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as possible a must stay if traveling throughout Michigan.
