The hallways reeked of cigarettes. The mattress and carpet were badly stained. Mold in bathroom. Coffee maker dirty. Advertised breakfast included, with a sigh and posted times at check-in. But there was no breakfast. No one at the desk, only a phone number to call, but the phone had been switched off. "Not taking calls."
