Our wedding party rented 6 rooms; quaint hotel with character reminiscent of Europe; Great location on the Fox River.....reception staff seemed "cold" at first but warmed up later....they have a shuttle for local hauls... Continental breakfast , included, and served in the lobby is minimal by today's standards but coffee was of quality so were the croissants; we had dinner one night in the restaurant, beautiful dining room, good menu choices, good execution of dishes, good service, expensive! Our room was beautiful, yet I will point out a few shortcomings that will most likely not be addressed since I am noticing that the same shortcomings were mentioned by others since 2023 or earlier.....Lighting not adequate in bathroom.....no door or curtain by potty.....no slow release of toilet seat/cover....toilet seat too low (old standards).....no grab bar in shower......no low shelf in shower (for shaving legs or whatever).....no lights over coffee machine.....no reading light anywhere...only one luggage rack.....$4 for a 500ml bottle of water.....great fireplace, great view, balcony......if only management/ownership could address those "cheap to fix" issues.....

We thought this hotel was absolutely beautiful. Our room was very nice with a view of the river. Bathroom was spectacular. All clean and luxurious. Location is good, easy walking to restaurants in town. The included breakfast was good. All together, a great stay!

If you’re getting married here, do not plan on having breakfast there the next morning. They will not give you reservations for parties above 8, but the kicker is they’ll sit outsiders over wedding guests, and the bride and groom! Crazy after spending several thousand of dollars to get married, the bride can sit and eat breakfast with her family because you can’t hold tables and would rather sit outsiders, like my money isn’t good enough! The Banquet Manager had the balls to yell at my mom about this in their dining room infront of their guests.
