We had a 2 night stay. Overall the property and location was ok. The path along the Eel River was just across the street and wonderful to walk .. head to the left for dairy farms and beautiful scenery. There are good 2 restaurants and a gas station within walking distance. Breakfast was as expected. The location was close to Ferndale, which was our main reason for our visit.
We did have some issues with our room, however. The first thing we noticed upon entry was an awful odor which we determined was coming from the a/c unit. Thankfully we were able to leave the window open the entire time of our stay to combat that. The windows look as if they haven't been washed in years. Most of the outlets in the room didn't work and the ones on the bedside lamp were so wobbly that our phones weren't able to charge. The hair dryer was screwed to the wall in the bathroom and that outlet didn't work as well. We provided the front desk with a maintenance upon departure so hopefully they fix those and other items before they hand the keys to that room to anyone else.
We won't stay here again, but it was fine for our short getaway.

Clean room and very accommodating for a family of 6 including a 2yr old and 6 yr old. The bed and breakfast was a nice option to have as well.

Hot tub and pool was closed with no heads up until we checked in. Asked for an upgrade and was shot down. Offered to let us cancel with no fees or $20 off our stay.

What had originally should have been a short shut-down for maintenance was extended out as we found other issues with our pool and spa. What puzzles me was that you checked out today, and we did open our pool yesterday, so it was available to you for your last day.Again, we apologize for the pool and spa, and hope that you will give us a chance to show you how nice it can be. And for future reference, if a pool, hot tub, or other amenity is vital for your stay, please consider contacting the hotel that you are considering to check.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and it looks way worse than it did when I was here two years ago. The pool wasn’t working and the hallways and hotel room could use paint. It is so rundown compared to when I was here before.

The hotel room is spacious for 5 of us but even it's suite that doesn't mean you can cook anything. There is one small fridge and a very small coffee machine that can only brew a cup at the time. And there is no other suite amenity like microwave or water kettle etc. The location is quiet remote and not many restaurant choices near by.
