This place is close to the highway and we were tired. But…… if you put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig. The room smelled bad ( germs hiding in the carpet pad?). The. Bed was uncomfortable. The lites outside and in the room ( glow from the hair dryer it s nite lit? ), were super bright. But the worst part was when I was showering, my husband brushed his teeth, and the water in the shower became scalding hot each time he turned on the faucet in the sink!! Plus, there was no mat or skid slides in the shower so if I hadn’t put a towel down in the tub, I would have fallen trying to get out of the scalding hot water. The breakfast was great and the man at the front was very kind when I told him about the hot water issue. He said he would report it.

I was with my husband, but this was more of a pit stop on the way to a business trip. We did the risky thing coming home from Dallas to Ohio and just drove until we were tired. We stopped to eat and looked up nearby hotels. There are chain restaurants i.e. McDonald's and KFC very close by. I was sitting in KFC when I made my reservation. We got there and the room was on the top floor. I asked to be switched to the bottom floor and was promptly switched. The staff was wonderful. They had a nice breakfast area - nice than I'd expect for the price point. The room was clean. The beds seemed too hard - but that's a personal preference. I would stay again. We didn't pay for luxury, so we didn't expect luxury. We got what we paid for, plus a little more. Also, if you like Tina Turner you'll love this place. There's a little Tina Turner museum-type thing that was free. We had to leave too early to get a chance to check it out. But, it looked like an interesting stop. It was right by the hotel (within easy walking distance).
