Usually stay here when traveling south from Ohio. While staff and the rooms are great, the facilities need repair: the elevator wasn’t working so my 80 year old mother had to navigate stairs with her small bag, the washer/dryers were out of order and the vending machines were not stocked well. Some attention to these issues would improve the experience.

I disliked the shower - it was very confusing to work and the door was hung in such a way that it was impossible to keep water from escaping onto the floor outside of the shower. All of the light switches lit up in the dark, including the ones right next to the pillows of the beds so it was difficult to sleep with so much light in the room

We liked that this hotel was near several restaurants and gas stations. It was clean, the air conditioner worked well, the shower worked well and it was quiet. We had a restful night there.

Grave side visit

Upon arrival and after check-in, we noticed the elevator was out of order and being that my wife is not able to climb stairs we informed the desk clerk we needed a room on first floor and she and the manager seen to our request and found us a room after the 2nd attempt, the first was the room selected was already occupied.

🗣️Don’t Do It!!!! RUN!

We arrived at the hotel and the clerk was outside with her 2 young children who ran around yelling throughout the check in process. Mind you she was yelling back! After the check in was completed we were informed that we would be on the second floor but the elevator didn’t work due to being struck by lightning. We walked through the dark stuffy hallway and entered our “non smoking” room to find out that it reaped of cigarettes. There was no remote control so I turned on the tv by hand, to find out that the channels didn’t change and the volume buttons were broken. The refrigerator didn’t work and it there was a nasty noticeable stain on one of the beds and while checking under the sheets I noticed a half eaten rice crispy treat behind the night stand. At this point we’d had enough. I picked up the phone to call front desk to find that the phone had a dial tone but no matter how many times I hit the 0 it never called down stairs. I WALKED back down stairs and the next shift clerk who had dirty fingernails and a large spaghetti stain on her shirt, was NOT happy to see me. I immediately requested a refund but was asked in a nasty tone what exactly was wrong with the room. After giving her a brief rundown I was then was offered and respectfully declined a different room. After then demanding my refund the clerk put the cash amount on the counter even though I paid with debit card. I grabbed my belongings as fast as I could and ran. Needless to say I will NEVER return!

The room could use a deep cleaning. Some issues were no working elevator which was difficult for my elderly mother and ice machine broken on the second floor. The bathroom floor was sticky and not clean in the corners.
