Room was fine. Sink tap sprayed water rather than having water flow. A table lamp needed proper cleaning. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well.

The water in the bathtub wouldn’t drain, and the room door wouldn’t open. We had to wait in the car for about two hours until someone came to open it.

The room was acceptable, and quiet, but the property needs updating.
They should spend some time cleaning the walkways (I recommend powerwash). They had an overflowing trashcan, however, we did arrive on a stormy night, so they may not have been able to deal with that.
One should consider the price is considerably lower than others, if that is the key factor for you.

Some rooms have a microwave and fridge, some dont. You have to go tell them if you want your room cleaned or new towels. My keycard wouldnt work one night and it took them an hour to get me into my room only to realize the battery in the door sensor died. I booked a Superior King room but when I checked in, they said one wasnt available and gave me a King Handicap Accessible room and told me it was the same price. Usually Red Roof Inns are legit but this one was subpar in every way imaginable.

If I could give zero stars for the hotel itself, I would. We booked 1 night here since it was our last night of our week long trip to WV (we’ve been staying in Summersville before we moved hotels). We stayed in the 2nd building on the first floor. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit with the most disgusting smell, which never dissipated (a mix of cigarette smoke, body odor and mold - even though there was a sign threatening a $200 fee if you smoked in the room). While we inspected it, we noticed the walls were dirty and we were short a bath towel (there was 3 of us) and had no toilet paper. As I was walking back to the front desk to ask for these items, I noticed a paper plate full of cat food and a water bowl outside one of the rooms, along with chalk drawings on the concrete in front of another room. Were these evidence of families living here permanently? The manager said I only needed 1 towel and 1 toilet paper roll, which I thought was odd. My son and I headed to Camden Park for the evening and my husband stayed behind to watch football in the room. Within 2 hours, we collectively decided to leave that night to head back home due to the room conditions. There was no way we could sleep there all night breathing that air. We left the entry cards in the room and drove through the night for 7 hours to get home. Buyer beware. I knew the guest rating was low for my liking when we booked it, but thought we could endure anything for 1 night. Guess I was wrong.

Pet friendly location and had adequate parking.
Room didn’t have towels and had to go get them at 11pm after we checked in. The light about the sink didn’t work, tv remote stopped working while we were there had to turn off manually. Power went out for almost 2 hours while getting ready to check out, hotel staff wouldn’t compensate for the inconvenience. Checked out and couldn’t get a receipt since power was out.
