Room was very clean and updated. AC wasn’t the best and parking lot was crammed due to the construction things taking up spots . Check in was a hassle and also had to get a new key for the second day?

Room looked great but smelled terrible. Staff offered a move to another room but that floor was in various stages of remodel so it was not a good option. Seems like the smell was due to flooding. They also removed the only chair in our room while we were still a guest!

Noticed immediately hot and humid hallways and elevators. Problem with AC in common areas perhaps?? Got to second floor and lots of remodeling and construction going on. Immediate impression of room was that it looked clean. On closer inspection there was not one chair. No chair in corner as is usual in hotels and no desk chair. No place to sit to put on shoes and tie laces!! Staff were never at front desk. Finally someone would appear. They were cordial and helpful, just hard to find at times. Tried to call front desk from room but no answer. Not sure if we’ll return. Have family in Decatur and always need a room when in town. Maybe????

Water temp in shower needs adjustment..water was not warm enough..ended up with a cool shower because hot water not hot at all …
The front desk staff was very friendly..

Minimal amenities
The hotel room was okay with furniture that looks to need replacing. Both our headboards squeaked with each twist and turn which kept waking us up. We requested a room change initially because the musty smell was very strong. Breakfast was a small pot of gravy and biscuits, with no protein options. It was all there, but very minimal in comparison to other chains.
