Woke up too early didn’t have any breakfast. But started my day in there. I had to change my room twice because the first room. The AC was out of order the second room. The door was locked so they had to put me in another room and I had to wait for it.

The shower curtain was not great. It was too long and and causing trip hazard when taking shower. Also toilet was a cheap quality and did flush properly

I booked through ******* while traveling and and put my location in as Palm Coast. This hotel came up as the third option in the list. I am not familiar with the area and since it was the 3rd listed I didn’t even think to check it so I booked it. I mapped it and it was over 3 hours away from where I was and I was ready to stop for the night. I immediately contacted ******* and the agent was extremely nice explaining that it was non refundable but would contact the hotel to see if they would accept the waiver and cancel the reservation. After 3 phone calls and no answer the agent raised an emergent issue for the team to continue to contact the hotel and I received a message the next morning that the hotel refused to cancel the reservation. I understand non refundable and it was totally on me for not checking and rechecking but did it really financially hurt this hotel to lose $158?? We travel A LOT and Holiday Inn Express will not be getting our business again! It’s a shame the almighty dollar is more important than forgiving an honest mistake!
