Brand Reputation/Neglected Building
For a hotel with such a recognizable name, this stay was a HUGE disappointment. The carpet was filthy, the room had a heavy musty odor, and the water pressure was abysmal. I had NO ISSUE paying the rate because of the brand’s reputation, but this property didn’t come close to living up to it. I left feeling like I’d been misled by the name alone.
Everything about it gave the impression of neglect rather than hospitality. I’ve never stayed at a La Quinta before, and after this experience, I doubt I ever will again.
This is by NO means a service issue. The people working were great. This is simply a neglected building with a huge brand attached. I felt myself questioning just how clean everything else was.

We stayed for a funeral so spent very little time on property but the jacuzzi wasn’t clean and a light was laying on the seat inside the jacuzzi

Overall, the hotel was in good condition, but our room had a faint mold/mildew smell with fresh paint over it and our window system in our room had a really bad rattle that went all night long.

We were charged over 800 dollars for two nights here and still have not received 276 dollars back. The manager was rude well trying to get it figured out. We also had to change rooms the second day because our room had a mildew smell and the carpet was soaking wet from the ac or something. The room the put us in also had a damp carpet and smelt of mildew. The manager gave us two free drinks from the market and thought that would be sufficient in making us happy with our stay. Won’t stay there again or recommend

Wouldn’t do it again
Lady at front desk was efficient and friendly. Beds were comfy. Shower was terrible, zero pressure and room smelled musty.
Pool was kind of dirty, jacuzzi was cold and light meant to be in the wall was on the bottom. Pretty sure that could electrocute someone.

Upon check in, the staff was not helpful about rates or specific requests. I guess you could say his customer service skills were lacking. When we entered our room, it was hot! It took a while for the AC to cool the room. The bath towels had visible stains on them. You can tell the place has been “updated/remodeled” but clearly it was done on a tight budget and very sloppy. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, at midnight the fire alarm went off! It continued to sound for several minutes. People were in the hall trying to figure out if there was a fire or what was going on. It finally stopped and we laid back down trying to ho back to sleep when it went off AGAIN! Thankfully, it stopped sooner than it did the first time. Breakfast, unless you like cereal or waffles, don’t waste your time. The eggs were watery, the sausage was almost paper thin and appears to have a few pieces from the day before on top! The muffins were dry, as well as, the biscuits. The best thing was the orange juice to wash it down!
