We booked this motel in January, 2022 for the race at Taladega in October, 2022, 4 of us, three rooms, 2 handicapped. Called 4 different times trying to verify 2 ground floor rooms because they don't have an elevator. Each time I was put off and told they would take care of it when we arrived. I called when we were 1 hour away and again told that they would see what they could do. Arrived and was told that only one ground floor room was available. Told them I needed 2 and his response was "we are very busy and full up, there is nothing I can do for you". I told them my husband couldn't walk up stairs and that is why I have been trying to get a verification over the phone. His response was sorry we are busy. I asked to speak to the owner and he said he could not call and bother him for something like this. This man was very rude and nasty but amazingly enough, when I told him if my husband fell down the stairs I would call my lawyer, 3 ground floor rooms became available (after arguing with me for at least 45 min)! Earlier he was trying to sell me an extra room for $280. Sounds like he was trying to pocket some extra cash...wonder if the owner knows what is going on??? I will never go back to this roach infested motel again!
