Checked in after driving for many hours to open the door to my room and find the fan making a continuous loud noise. I IMMEDIATELY went back to the front desk to relate the problem and request a different room. Was told by front desk manager in a rude manner that I had to WAIT for the maintenance person to check it out and repair it, that they couldn’t simply give me another room! If I hadn’t already prepaid, I would have stayed elsewhere. I left for a couple of hours and returned to find the kind man at the front desk had changed the room for me. The breakfast had lots of good choices and coffee that is freshly ground to order! That was a plus! Great location.

Sometimes, due to occupancy moving rooms can cause issues and this would be why the FOM mentioned having maintenance to come look at it first. I do know she worked with the clerk that was duty and they moved your room instead to make it easier for you when you got back to the hotel. I will make sure to coach them on a nicer way to convey this in the future. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us your feedback and we apologize again for the experience you had.

We spent one night at this hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was very roomy. The staff was very friendly and the fresh cookies were fantastic. The free breakfast was one of the best we have had at a hotel. Would definitely recommend.

This is an amazing hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked and the complimentary 24 hour coffee was appreciated. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

A wonderful place to stay
We stayed there earlier this month to be near my wife’s brother who died at the end of our stay. We received nothing but courtesy, consideration and kindness from the staff. I returned this weekend to help close down my deceased brother-in-law’s apartment. I received the same wonderful treatment as before.

The Holiday Inn & Express in Castle Rock is a very nice property. The hotel is clean and inviting. Breakfast is pretty good :) The desk staff was terrific. My main complaint is with housekeeping. We stayed for 7 days and asked for housekeeping twice. The first time everything seemed fine. The second time, they didn't change the sheets, or clean the bathroom at all. They did supply two clean towels and a shower mat. I had to go to the desk to ask for hand towels, toilet paper and Kleenex which had been empty both times they cleaned.
My main reason for choosing Holiday Inn & Express is because they have a NO PET policy. I am very allergic to animals.
