The room was very nice and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was a surprise to us in a very good way. There were a variety of choices.

Parking was adequate, the lobby was clean and smells fresh. However, the room was as basic as you can get.
My biggest displeasure was I’m not sure how much attention is paid to cleaning the rooms as I walked into the bathroom to find a Dial soap wrapper on the floor. The bed had a sunken area and was very squeaky.
Thankfully, I didn’t spend much time in the room as I was visiting a friend close by so I just only slept there.

We arrived around midnight, so we had to use the “after hours” window. This started our issues as it was nearly impossible to hear the man behind the desk asking me questions. Eventually, I heard him tell me that I can’t stay in 1 room with 4 adults. I had already told him I had two teenagers. When he repeated himself, I repeated myself and said, “Look, I have 2 adults and 2 kids as the reservation states and as your cameras will prove” as we all walked in to the check in area. Finally, after this somewhat tense back and forth, he finally fulfilled my reservation. Overall, there needs to be a better system for after hours check in including a microphone and speaker or something similar. Also, the gentleman working on Thursday, Oct. 16th night shift front desk needs some basic training in reading reservations booked online, being able to talk loud enough when there is a barrier between him and customers and finally a little training in hospitality, basic common sense, and being even just a little perceptive wouldn’t hurt as well. Hotel itself is nice and we enjoyed our stay once we got over the initial rude “welcoming”

Good sleep
I have to say overall I will stay here again if I'm back to the Montgomery area. This facility is at the top end of the two stars I've stayed at in this market. I have traveled to Montgomery more than a dozen times and started everywhere but downtown. My only real complaint was that the TV remote took a minute to turn on the TV and to turn off the TV, I finally decided to just unplug it. As far as the HVAC, the unit is a bit on the load side, but it worked! Bed mattress was NOT bad. I felt like it might have been relatively new. Not like falling into a hammock, so that was pleasant as well. It's 5:21 in the morning and breakfast starts at 6. I will assume it will not disappoint for a 2 star. In the end, I'm not made it's a two star. I can't afford a 3 or higher. I've stayed at a three star in Prattville that was worse than this place. Neighborhood also seems good. I mean I wasn't worried my car would be jacked by the morning.

We refused to stay here. The room was dirty and had a bug in the bed. Hair is the bathroom and spider webs on the ceiling. The entrance door was filthy and half painted. I was appalled by the fact that I had booked it because your website showed a 7/10 rating and it was more like a 1/10. I have requested a refund

Civil rights weekend
I took my wife and daughter to Montgomery and choose this Super 8 because of price and proximity. We needed a late check out Sunday from 11am to 1pm, they allowed it free of charge. Also they allowed my 2 dogs for $10 ea per day. We were very pleased with them.

Overnight stop on vaca, I would keep driving.
Dingy and did not feel the main door that lead outside was very secure. Flies in the room upon arrival. Pet friendly so loud dogs next door. Bathroom very dingy. I think they tried an update not too long ago but no upkeep.
