I want to start with the good: The first staff member who greeted was fantastic. She was helpful and super nice. The bartender, Lisa, was also great. The man who works at the front desk was rather rude. The waitress who works breakfast was not great the first day and fabulous the second. She would not even acknowledge my adult children (who look like teenagers) until my husband joined them.
Next, I would like to express my disappointment with the Club level. What a waste! We have stayed here a couple of times. The refrigerator had always been stocked with water, juice, pop, yogurt & milk - even on the weekends when business travelers were not there. On prior stays there had always been snacks like muffins, dry cereal, granola bars, chips well stocked all weekend. There was no coffee or hot water all weekend. How much is it to ask for a carafe of hot water and coffee for us paying extra?
The refrigerator was empty with the exception of 2 diet pops. We had no snacks all weekend.
Ok - so it is Sunday through Thursday they say. Our Sunday stay had 5 granola bars & 5 bags of chips - WOW!!!
Ok - so breakfast is included on the weekends. The buffet was horrible. The potatoes were like baby sponges and the oatmeal was runny and gooey at the same time. I had to go get breakfast somewhere else after that.
Every time we go the perks are slimming down.
I never leave unfavorable reviews, but please do better.

The staff, especially at the front desk and the restaurant, was always super friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself and the rooms we saw (we asked for different rooms twice) were totally worn down. Cables sticking out of the wall, missing lamps, bed linen full of stains and broken zippers, wallpaper ripped off on parts of the walls - not 4* worthy!!

Overall, everything was immaculate. There were a few issues in our room, but they didn’t affect our stay. The reading lights on the bed didn’t work, and one was almost broken off. There was also water damage all the way down the wall by the window, which caused the wallpaper to be rippled. However, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the TV worked, and we felt safe and it was quiet. The staff was amazing! I witnessed a guest being awful to one of the staff members who worked the overnight shift. The staff member kept their cool and remained very professional. I, on the other hand, was ready to throw my sandal at the guest's head! I highly recommend staying here, and for all future trips to Minneapolis, this will be the place we stay.
