I asked to have my room safe reset for usage 3 times. The safe was never reset and I was not able to use it. After day 3 of my stay, room service had never inquired if I needed any sort of service. I had to call the front desk to have the trash removed, clean the sink and shower and fresh towels. There was a lot of loud noise in surrounding rooms all throughout the night preventing sleep. I've stayed here at least 5 or 6 times in the past several years when visiting Pittsburgh. I won't be staying here in the future.

I never seen a rest room in that bad state, though it is clean, the tub has stains and caulking has so many black spots, one side of the wall is in bad state as well.

I paid my deposit in cash, and I always make sure to leave the room clean. When I went to check out, the front desk clerk told me I was “free to go.” I asked about my cash deposit and he acted like he didn’t remember me paying one even though he was the same person who took it. He then said he needed to check the room. After checking, he went straight to the safe and pulled out an envelope with my room number written on it. So the deposit was clearly logged and accounted for the entire time. The initial denial felt shady, and after looking through other reviews, I see this isn’t the first time this has happened here.
There was also an issue with the vending machine. When the hotel was busy, the machine had the prices covered and a sign saying to “ask clerk for assistance.” When I did, I was charged $11 for a can of Sprite, a Snickers, and a bag of Member’s Mark chips. But when I checked out the next morning — when the parking lot was nearly empty and there were fewer guests the machine was suddenly working, the tape was removed, and the actual prices were visible. It really seems like when the hotel is busier, they hide the prices and overcharge guests by forcing purchases through the desk.Overall, the room itself was fine, but the way money is handled here feels intentionally misleading. I don’t appreciate having to ask for my own deposit back or being price gouged for basic snacks. I won’t stay here again.
