From the moment I checked in, I felt welcome. The young man at the desk was professional, informative and friendly. He answered my questions and directed me to my room, reminding me of breakfast hours and other services. Once in my suite, I was pleased to find it, clean, comfortable and stocked with everything needed to make me feel at home. I loved the soaker tub in the updated bathroom and the convenience of a fully functional kitchen! Breakfast buffet was well stocked and delicious. This location is terrific to easily access the city's attractions, close to shopping and perfect for any occasion. I have already recommended Hawthorn Suites to family and friends coming to the area and plan to stay again in the future.

Room was spacious. However kids and family next door made loud noise past midnight. Seems old hotel and everything like heater are too loud at night. Breakfast was below par.

The front desk attendant did a good job but was spitting periodically into a plastic bottle. Disgusting! When we got to the room it was stale with no air flow. I changed into my pajamas and went to sit on the bed when I noticed a dark speck on the linens. I got my magnifier out on my phone and it was a bug that looked like a bed bug. We immediately packed up our items and called the front desk. They did move us, but I DID NOT sleep well.

The reasons we choose this hotel, pool, hot tub, fitness room, complimentary breakfast. Pool is closed due to public health inspection. However, we were told Friday night that the pool would open Saturday morning. The kid working the from desk Saturday morning laughed in my face when I asked about pool being opened. Hot tub apparently hasn’t worked in a long time but online pictures still show it. The fitness room was a treadmill and stair machine, pictures online showed much different. The breakfast wasn’t horrible, but staff wasn’t keeping up on cleaning and restocking. Another family had spilt eggs and milk all over the floor around the tables and it was left for people to slip in. The tables were filthy. The bedrooms were spacious but you can tell no one cleans behind the beds. We went to plug in our electronics and found saw a lot of crumbs and trash.

After our encounter Saturday, we checked out and went to rent a hotel that had a working pool. The front staff said I would need to contact ******* for a refund and they would contact the hotel. I left and did that, the hotel would not refund because they couldn’t rent the room out again. The hotel was not full. This was all because of THEIR negligence in running a business.

The pool was cold. The hot tub was closed and out of service and the breakfast was terrible. They had seating for 50 and food set out for 10 it was awful and on top of it all I use my reward points to pay for the room, but they requested a $500 deposit at check-in $500 who does that

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was also nice. We went to go to the mega cavern for the Christmas lights and it was centrally located for that. Would stay again.
