The front desk staff were excellent. The housekeeping staff were subpar. The breakfast staff were not very friendly, and the food and choices were very limited. The rooms smelled terrible, but there were air fresheners in the rooms that didn’t seem to help. They did have a sign in the lobby that said they were about to start remodeling. It definitely needs it!

My room had a terrible chemical smell and the property smelled like pot. The property is run down and the rooms are filthy. The staff awesome and friendly and belong at a five-star hotel.

a little worn in, needs a fresh coat of paint, attention to detail on the trim and the edges, understand not very window will have a great view, but if you look out and see random unbagged trash........... meh. the pool was great, breakfast was fine, price and location good. overall it fit my needs. thanks

When we arrived, they failed to mention that they were renovating inside and out. The carpet in the room was dirty, there were patches all over the wall, the place was dusty, some parts of the wall had dirt stains on them. The place was a mess. What really threw me for a loop, is when they had the nerve to ask for $100 deposit in case we mess something up. I'm asking for a refund of at least half of what I paid. The place was unsanitary.

My second stay
This was my second stay at this hotel. I wish I could give it a better rating. However, they are doing renovations. Even with this, it's still a nice hotel to stay at if you're visiting Athens for a short while. The beds are comfy. I don't think they were even at 50% capacity, so the room was pretty quiet. The pool is super cold, but it was open and my kids enjoyed it. The breakfast is included and is happening decent.
The staff is very friendly and they always welcome you whenever you walk in. We weren't there for long so we didn't need our room cleaned, but there were 3 trash cans, plenty of towels, and the room was clean. They have a small snack bar next to the reception desk, and they don't extremely overprice the snacks.
There is a gym, but it's pretty small. However, they did offer free water in the gym, which is something I haven't seen before.
Our room included a dehumidifier. It wasn't needed too much, but you should remember that the pool is indoors. I'm curious as to how everything will look after renovations are done. We might be back next year.
