I was visiting Saint Louis and decided to stay at this property for one night. I initially thought it looked different and cute, but when I arrived, I realized there was another Sheraton nearby—the Plaza—which is much more aligned with my preferences. Since it was late, I went ahead and checked in. The moment I walked inside, it felt like a blast from the past, and not in a good way. I was immediately unimpressed. When I got to my room, it was even worse. The side of the hotel I was placed on is clearly the original section from when the property first opened, and it shows. I have access to the Marriott Lounge, and the difference was obvious the second I stepped off the elevator on that side of the hotel. That portion appears to have been upgraded, unlike the side I was assigned. As an Elite Member for over 12 years, the front desk staff should have known better than to place me in one of the outdated rooms. Then, when I went downstairs for breakfast, there were bugs all over the food. This property gets a solid –0 from me. The entire stay was completely unacceptable.

Not usually where I stay but due to the Sheraton Westport Plaza being sold out, this is was my choice. When you arrive, it looks like a 1960’s German hotel. Walking into the main lobby you feel like you are in a place that hasn’t updated for a while. My room was on the left side of the hotel and to my surprise the room was completely renovated and looked exactly like the Sheraton Westport Plaza. The Bar is old and not updated but has great food and drinks available. Elevators are old and extremely slow. I waited 30 mins for an elevator in the morning and after trying to walk down the steps (only gets to the first floor but no access to lobby only a fire alarmed door for emergency on the 1st floor). Bar tender doubles as room service so if they have orders they are gone and you will be left at the bar alone but again the food and drinks are awesome.

Not cleaned properly
When we entered the room it was not cleaned from the last guest. We went down to the lobby to request this since the phone didn’t work. We came back later in the night and it looked like the bed had been made but the used soap, glasses etc were still in the bathroom that wasn’t ours.

From the time I arrived to the time I left management and staff were attentive at all moments . I will be back

Two night stay at $250 each. Opened refrigerator to find 2 half used cold coffee drinks. Set them outside the door. Second night, discovered there were 2 Conditioners in the shower, no shampoo. Day 1: Kleenex box in bathroom had 5 tissues. I removed empty box from plastic holder and left it on the counter so the maid wouldn’t miss it. Empty box disappeared, but no additional tissue supplied for Day 2. After no-shampoo shower, I dripped a couple of drops of lotion on floor. Wet some of the cheap 1-ply toilet paper and dampened it to wipe up. Tissue was BLACK. Tried a few swipes on other parts of bathroom floor, with same BLACK results. Disgusting. I expected so much more for $500.

Everything was wonderful, I planned our family reunion here and received great reviews. The food and ambiance were amazing, I highly recommend booking your group here. Nancy and Paige from sales were great to work with. Additionally, the banquet team, Donna and Robb, went above and beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly. Please inform the chef that the banquet food was scrumptious.
