The smoke detector in our room chirped all night which didn’t allow me to sleep. I brought the issue up to the front desk prior to trying to sleep. They told me that they could not do anything about it. The staff was extremely rude about this issue. They told me I could leave if the chirping bothered me. This was not an acceptable solution as we travelled 4 hours for a football game and all the other hotels were sold out. In addition it is also state code to have a working and fully functioning smoke detector in a hotel room.
