I’m in town for a business meeting at Widener University. A colleague arrived before I did, and to my surprise, the front desk clerk provided her with my room number. She then asked for her room to be placed next to mine, and the clerk granted this request without my permission, which is a major security concern.
I was also placed in a room next to the elevator on a floor with a youth football team. Children were running up and down the halls unsupervised, including on the floor above me. We contacted the front desk, and they said they would come handle the noise, but no one ever arrived. I went down to the lobby and saw the football coaches drinking alcohol while the children continued running sprints in the halls right in front of the desk manager.
The children are still running, slamming doors, and playing on the elevators as I am typing this review at 1:37 a.m. because I am unable to sleep. I only gave a score of 1 due to the proximity to the university.
The room itself also had issues. The windows face a residence, and the room only has sheer curtains that do not close fully, offering no privacy. I can see directly into the home across from my window, so I’m sure they can see into my room as well. I was also advised to turn on the heat when entering the room, but it took three hours for the temperature to rise from 64 degrees to 73.
This is the worst hotel room experience I have ever had.

Ana at the front desk was amazing and Ms. Jerry who hosted breakfast was so lovely. Just an amazing experience from the service of workers at the Best Western. Hotel is exactly what you pay for so don’t expect much, but room was very big and spacious, bathroom is okay but do-able for price. Free breakfast is always amazing anywhere. I’d stay there again and again just from the service. Lovely people!

The room met expectations. Staff were very friendly. Bedding was horrible. Mattress was ok but covers where soooo thin. It was like having three sheets. Personally I like a nice comforter. I asked for another blanket but it still wasn’t to my liking. No tub in the room, which was fine for me, but if needed you should ask. Location was great. Parking wasn’t that bad if you have someone with you. Luckily I was able to get a spot in front but they were very limited. Once again, staff was great.

今天早上酒店打电话给我，问我是否愿意放弃我的双人床房，换一间带大床的房间。我告诉他们不行，因为我们15岁的女儿也要一起住。后来他们告诉我房间里有一张折叠沙发，所以我同意了，以帮助酒店解决超额预订的问题。我们到了房间，折叠沙发旁边根本没有床上用品。我去了大堂前台，他们帮我找了床单，但没有枕头，也没有毯子。这不是世界末日，但有点糟糕，毕竟这是我们度假的第一晚。
晚上办理入住时，工作人员非常乐于助人，但房间价格却令人失望。床垫很薄，弹簧很硬。浴室的水龙头漏水，看起来像是之前有人尝试用新的填缝剂修补过，但房间里有一股怪味。退房时，前台没人，我们等了大约5分钟，才有人粗鲁地问我们需要什么。早餐就别吃了。
