I recently stayed at the downtown Omni Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The promptness and kindness of the hotel staff truly stood out; they were always ready to assist with a warm smile. Great hotel! Conveniently located, our room was very nice and very clean and the staff was very helpful and always friendly. The area has great dining options and entertainment. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in Austin.

Everything was great except we had stained sheets on one of the beds. Front desk offered us to switch rooms but we were already unpacked so housekeeping came and gave us clean sheets.

Book for the view, not for the room service
Very nice hotel. I booked a king bed with balcony. The fitted bed sheet kept coming off the bed throughout the night. The two small garbage cans didn't have any liners installed. Room service was terrible the following morning. I called twice half an hour apart. It went straight to voicemail where I left my name and room number for them to call back. Never got a call for an entire hour so I decided to check out.

One of the best centrally located hotels in the area. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel staff was very helpful and made sure every need was met without even asking.

The Omni parking staff, the porters and the hotel clerks were all great! I had big issues with the housekeeping department. I could not get my room cleaned while I was at a seminar all day my first day there. The housekeeper did not come by until my return from the conference. The next day I had to call to get my room cleaned. My room was cleaned well but the housekeep failed to leave sufficient toilet paper, so I ended up running out my last day. It may be that the Omni is having trouble hiring housekeepers which is understandable, but it made my stay less than what I had hoped.

I love how great the staff was. However the room itself was a lil dated. The most disappointing thing were how uncomfortable the beds and pillows were and also the loud ringing noise that would happen at random times. So loud that other patrons would frequently be out in the halls wondering what was happening. It was an okay stay for the price we paid. Also parking situation isn’t great. You either have to pay the city or pay for valet.
