Should have known from the name but the reviews are so good, better than higher classed hotels, that we thought it would be worth the risk. Absolutely appalling from the second we walked indoors. Unpleasant staff, screaming/strange/scary guests in parking lot and lobby. Room was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. We asked for non smoking and it seemed as if someone had smoked there that day. The hallways smelled as if someone had freshly peed up and down the entire way. Genuinely traumatizing. How could anyone ever review this place well?!?!? Are they being paid to lie? Truly shocked and concerned in ever trusting a review of a place ever again. Shame on TripAdvisor for even having these misleading reviews up in the first place. And Hopper. And Google. It’s A SCAM AND A CATFISH.

Looks nice from the outside, and located in a decent neighborhood, but unfortunately, things on the inside were different. Room was large but spartan and showed definite signs of age - fair amount of wear and tear is evident. Shelf next to bed was sticky indicating inattentive housekeeping. One bedside light socket was totally exposed with no bulb, creating a shock hazard. The other bedside light socket had a bare bulb only. The bathroom, however, was clean. When I checked in (on a Tuesday), I was told that none of the elctronic room locks were operational and that they would not be fixed until Thursday. I would have to have someone from the front desk let me into my room every time I needed access during my one night stay. No compensation or concessions were offered for this obvious inconvenience. When I returned to the motel in the late evening and requested access to my room, the front desk person asked for no identification or other verification that I was the proper occupant of the room. Instead the front desk person simply unlocked my room on my request. sa Overall, I'd normally rate this motel a '3' (average) but the various safety & security issues knock it down to a '2'.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in, pricing is great,beds are comfy and staff is amazing. Love the surrounding area, easy access to everything. Food, clubs etc... My daughter also loved the staff as well... Will be coming back. Thanks for the stay, Christan Montgomery.

I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was super friendly, and the building always smells good when you walk in overall I would recommend this hotel when my family and friends need some where go. The housekeeping is always helpful there's always someone around when you need something

My stay here was great. With friendly staff (ALL of them) and prompt service, I was going through a rough patch, the managers and housekeepers made my stay as comfortable as possible. With clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and WiFi, there’s a lot of bang for your buck. I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I needed a quick night stay in Richmond after a flight. We booked a room here through *******. Upon arrival we were told “there are no rooms”, even though we had confirmation. TERRIBLE customer service. We were told “we weren’t the first and wouldn’t be the last” for that to happen to. I felt like I was on a SNL skit. Not to mention all of the intoxicated people walking around the parking lot! If I could leave 0 stars I would!!

I stayed here on Sep 10, 2023 Do not stay here! After checking in, we noticed the carpets in the hallways were filthy - not in one place but throughout. As we walked to our room we saw poop, I hope from a dog, in two places. Although I saw a staff member walking past the poop, it was still there the next day. Our room had mold in the bathroom, various bugs in the bathroom and near the bed, and a pool of water/condensation on the floor under the AC unit. The pillows were thin, and the linens rough. Upon checking out, we again saw dirty carpets on the way to the exit and the same dog poop on the floor we saw when checking in. Finally, the garbage can outside the front door was overflowing with trash, the same as it was when we checked in.

Unprofessional front desk. Sharpie written phone number on the front door to reach the staff. 3 unanswered calls. Eventually a woman in her pajamas let me in.. it was 11pm. Hotel is a residence, like an apartment building with people mingling and partying at all hours. The fan and TV couldn't drown out the din. Bed was fine. Bathroom was clean. Not a restful night. I should have slept in my car. Whatever this place used to be, it's not any more.
