I'm not local to the area, but I've stayed here probably about a dozen times now as I travel to and from the area frequently. It's an older property, but the rooms are clean, the area feels safe and the staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. I've had a bad experience at the Baymont Inn next door, and the nearby Comfort Suites isn't really much better for the extra you'll have to pay over Motel 6. Bottom line, looking to stay somewhere clean and safe when on a budget? Motel 6 Anderson checks all those boxes.

Roaches and smashed roaches on the sheets and I was called a liar for reporting it by staff.

Check in and staff were friendly and efficient.
No shampoo provided...just a bar if soap.
No hair dryer.
The room was adequate, but at a closer look, was off putting. Poorly painted and lacking finishing touches.
Price was reasonable and bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was very basic.

It wasn’t terrible except for the parking lot. There were so many homeless people sleeping in cars there and people hanging out at night I was so scared to leave my car.

Go to a any of the neighboring hotels
My stay was not great. The linens in my room were stained, the room smelt like cigarette smoke, and I when I happened to spill some water and wiped it up with towel the white towel came up completely gray/brown. When I finally complained I was moved to a new room, but I’m not sure this room was any cleaner.

Stayed here before. An example of the better Motel 6s in the Midwest. Minor oversights in terms of cleanliness but no less comfortable. Worth staying her.
