The main reason why this hotel deserves a one star is because of how much the hotel promised yet undelivered. I really really wanted to like this hotel but the instances where I was disappointed by the facilities or services were just too much to ignore. 1. it was very hard to fall asleep as loud music was playing well into the night (until around 11 or 12) -2. there was only one room key - which is quite inconvenient if you are sharing a room 3. they advertise a gym but the gym was very poor, limited to a treadmill and ancient equipment which could nearly caused me injury 4. they advertise that ice can be delivered to your room but that service is unavailable. This is quite an important point because as I mentioned earlier, there is only one room key. This means that when you’re out of the room, any drinks that you place in the fridge can’t be chilled - as you need the room key inside the room in order to have access to electricity. Pretty important during nigerias 32 degree days. 5. the BIGGEST travesty was just how awful the WiFi was. As someone who doesn’t live in Nigeria I was depending on their wifi as I don’t have a Nigerian SIM card. I can’t describe how bad it was. It wasn’t just slow. Non existent. Just wasn’t there. 6. TV didn’t turn on 7. AC didn’t turn on 8. Food was mediocre. Not woeful but not good. Half the food items on the menu weren’t available. No sugar free soft drinks were available 9. Receptionists weren’t warm or friendly. My mother was ignored by a receptionist while she waiting to be attended to, when a man walked in front of her and the receptionist immediately attended to him 10. The telephones in the room didn’t work

Not half bad!
Comfortable and spacious. Staff attentive, friendly and responsive. Well lit. Spa on property with an ATM.
Cons: no USB outlets. The door separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom is ackwardly placed near the toilet!!! Very little by way of toiletries (single bar of soap)

First impression counts. When i arrived at the hotel, i was taken to a room that has not been cleaned. The second room i was given was smelly. I could not put my head on the pillow because of the ooze from the pillows. The hotel looks beautiful outside but the inside is horrible. I will never stay in that hotel again.
