Conveniently located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. This hotel sets the bar high for customer service and personal touch. From start to finish, it exceeded our expectations. The bartender (Sean) delivered high-end speakeasy cocktails, which sparked warm conversations amongst hotel guests seated at the bar. Along with the property manager (Miguel) who took the time to provide an engaging history tour of the property and could be spotted assisting his team around the whole hotel. A true heart for hospitality. Looking forward to future stays at this community property and welcoming team!

Just got back from a night stay at the hotel. Monique and Douglas were excellent with making sure our check in process was smooth and we had all we needed. The room was on the 4th floor, it was very quiet, we viewed a small courtyard. The room was clean and had nice toiletries provided. There is no coffee/tea makers in the room but they do provide it downstairs in the lobby area in the morning. We got the breakfast. I would call it a heavy continental. Food was good if you view it that way. If expecting a full service breakfast you will be underwhelmed. Definitely recommend the hotel

Being an Autograph Hotel,I was a bit disappointed. The location is unbeatable but there is no place to park on your own. Valet is $45 a night, too pricey for me! There is a nice fountain in front of the hotel that is in a desperate need of paint and the front door looks a little rough. Otherwise, very clean, nice staff, nice breakfast $25, and a small bar. I would stay here again for the location.

Starting with the good things...The hotel is only 8 blocks from the river/restaurants and in a nice location. The bar and bartender was nice. During my one day/night stay the elevator did not work for about 3 hours so I had to use the stairs to the 4th floor. The internet was horrible, and I had to reconnect many times. I was unable to work satisfactory due to the internet issues. The best internet meant I had to connect to the conference one in the hotel lobby. The major news networks were all available except for Fox News so they obviously don't want you to watch that. I do not recommend the hotel and will stay somewhere else next year for my meetings.

酒店回复: Dear BillT787, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I truly appreciate you highlighting the positives—our location, as well as your experience at the bar and with our bartender. It means a lot to know those aspects stood out during your stay. At the same time, I am very sorry for the frustrations you encountered. I can imagine how disruptive it must have been to deal with the elevator outage please note that we reported the elevator to our Engineering department and the elevator was reset and up in running within 30 minutes and the challenges you faced with the internet, especially when trying to work productively. Reliable Wi-Fi is essential, and I regret that we fell short of meeting that expectation. Please know that we are actively working with our service provider to address these concerns, so our guests have a seamless experience throughout the hotel. We never want a guest to leave feeling this way, and I hope you might reconsider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable and comfortable experience in the future. If your travels bring you back to Alexandria, I would be happy to personally assist with your arrangements to ensure a smoother stay. Best regards, Miguel Casimiro Hotel Manager Morrison House Hotel

I routinely stay in the Marriott Autograph Collection hotel chain. They usually are very special. Unfortunately I can’t say that for the Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia which is an Autograph Collection Hotel. The outside of the building is very charming. However once you put your foot in the door all that charm vanishes. The interior is very dingy, and down right dirty. There appeared to be dried splattered stains all over the elevator doors and walls. I was a little hesitant in even getting in it. When we entered our room there was a dirty used glass with dried coffee in it. It obviously had been there for quite a while. There were dirty used towels on the bathroom counter top. I immediately went to the front desk and told them what I found. The receptionist checked his computer and said the hotel supervisor had personally signed off that the room was clean and ready. We were given another room that was clean but unfortunately the shower soap dispenser was empty. I didn’t find it out until I was taking a shower. I just used the shampoo for shower gel. The room did not appear the way the photos show it to be. The room was very gloomy and dark. It is also partially underground. When you look out the window your head is literally at the same level as the street. Needless to say we were very disappointed in our room. The staff was very friendly and the location is very good but in no way is this a four star hotel. Because of the poor filthy

A quaint little hotel in the heart of Alexandrea Ma. The employees are excellent, so friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is unbelievable. Meeili is so sweet. She really made our stay memorable. She takes care of your every request at the breakfast bar. And they offer a great variety for your selection. The hotel is a quaint little hotel. The rooms are small but adequate. Everything is very clean and comfortable. The only negative is the towels and toiletries. The towels are very thin. They definitely need replacing. And so too with the toiletries. There is plenty of shopping in the area. And quite a selection of restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. We are from the Shore in New Jersey and travel quite a bit. So we have experience in visiting many hotels and B and Bs. Don’t miss out on a gem of a place when visiting Alexandrea.

This is me and my wife's favorite place to stay when we want a staycation. The mixologist on staff is amazing (if you are into mixed drinks), and the hotel is so close to many of our favorite restaurants in the area. So walkable, yet off the beaten path. As a lover of books, getting to take books home is a bonus. We stay here at least 2 times a year.
