I had the absolute worst Hotel stay over the weekend. Checked into the Rodeway Inn in Abilene TX for one night. The deskclerk was smirky and borderline rude. After he deigned to check me in, I went to the room. Looked for a cup.. no cups or glasses. Went back to the desk, asked for a cup. "There are no cups." "what?". "No cups in this hotel - at all." Again with kind of a smirky, borderline rude manner. Eh! went out to grab some food, came back an hour or so later. Figured I could watch a late football game... No TV controller. Back out to the desk, he handed me a controller. Back to the room. The damn thing would NOT turn on the TV. Started looking around the room more carefully. The microwave was missing the glass plate that rotates. In the bathroom, there was... a sink. Just the sink against a blank wall. No counters or cabinets. I guess I should be grateful they provided TP by the toilet? No Iron or board. No hairdryer. No plastic laundery bag. The "closet" had one hanger - left by previous guest, and the rod was like four feet above the floor. No ice bucket. Not even a trash can. There was a pile of dirty laundry about 6-8 feet in front of my room when I checked in. It was still there in the morning when I went for coffee. As I was leaving I asked the daytime desk clerk for a refund. (And I would not put out the worlds worst review ever.) He just smiled and said it doesn't matter. This is a franchise and nobody cares. "Welcome to Abilene", he said.

The place is absolutely filthy. Trash everywhere. Floor has not been swept or mopped. Our door was broken and would not lock when brought to the attention of front desk she just said oh. When we stated we were going someplace else her reply was you can’t get a refund day of checkin. Electrical plug and light switch is hanging off the wall. Asked for a room on bottom floor and she said no. I am on my way home from surgery in Texas and am very up set with these accommodations. No wash cloths 2 bath towels for 2 women. Dirty pillow cases on one of the beds. Could not find front desk person to get clean ones

My room had a really bad odor. Linen from previous occupants was left behind. The elevator was out of order. When I let the front desk know in the morning he was dismissive.

There was a wasp in the room a roaches and ants in the mini fridge. The room was dirty they gave us one towel no hand towels no floor mat for the shower.

We ended up not staying at this hotel because upon check-in they told us we did not have a reservation. The only room they had available was on the second floor and we cannot maneuver stairs. The elevator was out of order
