OMG worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Dirty, wreaked of smoke, toilet seat was sticky with pee, smelled like pee, phone didn’t work (guy at front desk said it wouldn’t work when I complained about it) which was a huge safety issue for me, and very rusty and dirty all over. I don’t think the windows have ever been washed and you could hardly see out of them. And I’m not even a super picky person either but it was really bad.

The word "Quality" does not apply to this establishment. From the minute walking in the front door, the hotel was very outdated, but more importantly, is disrepair. Walking into our room, we encountered broken items and very dirty things. The filthy curtain hung above the wall air/furnace that could not be closed, which was next to the entry door that did not have a tight seal, especially on the bottom. The bathroom had dirt and mildew by the tub and a dirty tag on the inside of the tub - like the original tag on the tub. The refrigerator worked, but I was hesitant to even open the microwave. The outside of the hotel was messy, sloppy, and in need of much repair and TLC. I felt uncomfortable walking down to the ice machine, which was outside, under the steps, in a small room with no windows and one door. We spent one night at this hotel and paid over $200. The hotel rating is 3.5 stars. We spent 4 nights in Washington DC and paid less than $400 for 4 nights in a 4.5 star hotel and had absolutely NO complaints.

We were tired when we arrived and the check-in seemed to be by machine although someone did turn up eventually. Walking to our room, we were horrified by the state of the hotel. Our room seemed clean enough so we unpacked. It was only on closer inspection the next day that we realized what a disaster the hotel was. There were doors to other rooms which were broken or paint missing. The fire extinguishers were very varied in condition. We only saw one that looked right. Our bathroom was not clean and the bath tap leaked. We were only staying 2 nights and were out for both days we were there. No-one cleaned the room when we were out or made the beds. The second night, I found hairs at the bottom of the bed when I was making it. All in all an unmitigated disaster.

My husband and I have stayed here several times. But this time we were very disappointed. The room smelled musty, the floor were dirty, the bathroom sink and bath tub both backed up and were very slow draining. This hotel is desperately in need of a good clean up/ make over. We won't recommend this hotel ir stay here again.

We have stayed at some pretty sketchy hotels and motels in our time and this was by far the most disgusting one yet. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again. There is mold visibly coming through the paint. There was poop on the side of the toilet. Mirrors haven't been cleaned in awhile. Doors were rusting. Beds are very old and gross. Curtains have holes and dirt on them. Door won't close unless you slam it. We bought air fresheners to cover the musty smell for the one night we were there and we bought bleach to spray the bathroom down. However this didn't help the water backing up into the tub. We even bought slippers at walgreens because the floors were disgusting. There are dumpsters outside with mattresses and old AC units so maybe they are doing something to fix it up but honestly it looks like they gave up and are just running on the bare minimum that they can get away with. The lobby is clean but there is no staff and you have to check in on a kiosk with a staff member off-site which is not ideal for safety concerns. To be honest I really can't believe this place is still legally allowed to be open.

I don't know if there would be any way to make this hotel acceptable besides tearing it down. The room was musty, covered in mildew, in just neglect from years of wear and tear and grossly understaffed. There are stray cats and sketchy people that may live in the hotel. The view was great, the bed was acceptable and that's the only good part.

I am not usually one to complain or write bad reviews. I wanted to demand a refund after my first night but I was staying for work and worked the night shift, so I did not have the luxury of finding a new hotel last minute. First off the room reeked of cigarettes to the point that I got a scented disinfectant spray in hopes that it would help, even though the room was nonsmoking. There were also burn marks on the curtains. And there were bugs everywhere. I woke up to one on my pillow. And I was eating at the desk and 2 bugs crawled passed my plate. It wasn't just a few here and there. There were many of them. Luckily I checked for bedbugs and found no evidence of bedbugs. Also, the door would not shut or lock properly. I had to slam the door for it to shut. And the top lock was busted making it irrelevant. As a solo woman, this was incredibly concerning. The place is in obvious need of upgrades/renovations. The only thing this place has going for it is location. It is in the middle of two beach access walkways. And is close to the Wright Brothers Memorial. This place is borderline moderately priced and is not worth a dime of it.

Old hotel and showing it's age. Peeling paint in the room, some kind of spray foam sealant filling in holes. Can barely see through the windows due to grime, dirt and sand. Lots of rust Outside. Railings to walk up the stairs are loose and in disrepair. A hazzard. Dirty sofa with what appears to be cat scratches tearing up the fabric on both ends. 1st and 2nd floors have no view other than a retaining wall and dunes. Not sure about 3rd and 4th. Outside is filthy with trash and cigarette butts. It looks like some people may actually live at the hotel, hanging out in front if their rooms or in the parking lot. Was there for 6 days and never saw an employee. Never even saw anyone cleaning rooms Even check-in is done at a video kiosk where you talk to someone in another country. As a female, I'm not sure thar I would stay there alone. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the shower was clean but did not function properly and pets are allowed. Location is good. I would rather stay inland or even just across the street. Save some money. Then drive to a public beach access, which happens to be next door. No cell service in the room and wifi is terrible.
