I stayed at Q Lodge in Coldwater and had a disappointing experience. I was initially checked into Room 161, but the smoke alarm beeped constantly (every two minutes). Staff tried to fix it and after about an hour I was moved to Room 157. Unfortunately, Room 157 also had several issues that suggested the room wasn’t cleaned or maintained properly: roaches found in the bathroom, missing hair dryer (empty wall bracket), another missing wall-mounted appliance, no door stopper, tub overflow cover hanging loose, a large dent/crack near the AC, and a cigarette butt under one of the beds. After checkout I was charged $200 for “damage to the wall.” The wall damage was already present when I arrived, but management refused to reverse the charge because I didn’t report it right away. I travel often and have never been charged like this for pre-existing damage. I would not stay here again, but if you do, report and take pictures of every existing issues or risk being charged.

Everything was alright and I understand that some things are out of control. One of my children run a hotel so I'm pretty easy going unless it involves bugs. I woke up to use the bathroom and not only was the carpet in the room moving, the bathroom was infested with roaches as well!! My concerns were rudely brushed off and I was told basically to deal with it or leave. Well at 2am I woke up my husband and left!!!!! I had to remove everything from our bags at a truck stop to make sure I wasn't taking uninvited guests home. Don't stay here.

We always stay here. I love the pool because its so warm u can actually swim in it in the winter. Other pools r freezing. Best pool ive ever had

None of the arcade games worked in either game room. Saw multiple roaches in our room and the playground area. Our “pool view” room air conditioner did not blow cold air.

This was a very unique hotel. The interior has a layout like a south florida motel with a roof on it. Glass doors from your room directly to the pool area.

The room seemed a little odd to begin with -- kind of dark - the only window opening right out to the pool, so opening the drapes wasn't an option. There was a portable air-conditioner sitting in one corner of the room - seemed a little unusual. But when we got up in the morning and turned on a lamp and saw roaches scurrying up and down the wall, that was the final straw! Reported this to management -- and they refused to refund our stay, or even apologize for our experience. I've never before stayed in a room with bugs in it, and certainly never would intentionally. Their rate for this infested room was $165.00 plus fees and taxes - not exactly what I think of as a "cheap" stay. I am surprised that this property is allowed to carry the Quality Inn name - not a name I would ever trust again.

Needs a paint job in all the Hallways pillows are old and flat was clean tho. The management was okay. Nothin spectacular. Other parts needed cleaned for awhile. There games needs to be upgraded. Pool table needs new felt. Needs a t.v. channel list in every room.

If I could rate this hotel zero stars I would. Horrible customer service to start off with. Second issue, THE COCKROACHES ARE HUGE. We brought two cockroaches to the front desk and were told by the two second shift men that it is because we are on the first floor by the pool? So they offered to switch our rooms, while finding one to switch as they refused to refund us, they left paperwork out stating why they are changing rooms for other customers. On this paperwork, it states BEDBUGS as the reason in a few rooms. We checked multiple other rooms, one smelled awful of mold and cigarettes, the second had what looked like a blood stain on the wall and a non working shower, and so on. We kept the room we started with as it was the better of all the others we had looked at and it was already paid for with no refund being offered. We found worn crumpled up socks between the mattress and headboard. The shower held standing water for hours after a shower, the pool table had what looked like puke stains all over it.. This hotel needs to be shut down until it has been exterminated heavily for BEDBUGS and COCKROACHES. Last complaint, when booking with the GM for our room, we were not sent a confirmation number like it states we should have. I needed to contact customer service, and was told I would need to provide the confirmation number, but the two men at the front desk REFUSED to give me my confirmation number and stated I would have to call an 855 number just to get that. Not professional at all.

Went to visit family in East Leroy, Michigan. Strictly just wanted a place to sleep. The room was clean. I did not have children with me, but the playground and the pool was fabulous if you were on the first floor, the door opened onto the area, where the playground was. It was a great set up for families with children.

Is it blood? Is it diarrhea? Why pick just one?? I pulled a stinky sock out of our (cigarette burned) bed linens which tells me they were not changed between guests. The room smells like unwashed hair and body odor. Black mold growing all over the wall paper. Checked in for three night and just left after the first. The pool was… just don’t stay here.
