We drove in to look at different neighborhoods in the area to potentially relocate. This was a centrally located hotel on the map so we thought it would be a safe bet. There was a sign in the lobby when we arrived saying they were understaffed. This really showed throughout the hotel. We had to have our room changed because it looked like there was blood on the carpet and it didn't look like it was cleaned very well. The new room was better but the carpet had lots of stains/dirt and the sink hadn't been cleaned well. I called to ask about the breakfast before I booked and was told it was a full breakfast with eggs, waffles, cereal, bagels, and fruit. It was nothing like that. The waffle machine didn't work and the only other food was cereal that gave a half bowl of cereal. I had coffee and that was it. The bed was hard and not very comfortable. The only redeeming thing I can say about our stay is that our room was quiet and the interaction I had with staff was pleasant. We have only stayed at a Quality Inn one other time and it was very nice. Sadly because of this experience we will not be using them ever again. Best Western is our go to for a nice middle of the road hotel, we will stick with something we know for this type of trip when we return.

We stayed at the "Questionable Inn" in March. We booked 1 night before an early drive home. We were not expecting a luxury hotel by any means, but we thought it'd be adequate. What we encountered was ATROCIOUS and this should be deemed a 1 star "hotel". The hallway to our rooms was filled with a pot haze which we could smell thru our masks! It was like hotboxing! Room 1 had "clean" towels with BLOOD DROPS!! There was a bag wrapped around the smoke detector. The wall and the desk chair had big handprints! The microwave had an odor of melting plastic. There were blond hair randomly found (we are not blond). Room 2 was not cleaned well and had a broken office chair which was bent so far back it resembled a dental chair. The shower rod was bent downwards so water sprayed out both sides of the curtain. Room 3 was the most "luxurious, as it only seemed to be UNclean. How sad that this was how low the bar was! As we only had one night, we grinned and bared it and use sani wipes on all the surfaces we expected to encounter. The wipes were very stained--so I am not sure what kind of Covid protocol cleaning they have in place. We expected to go out for dinner and use little of the room. We were too tired to cancel. At midnight, we found out Room 3, the "luxurious" room had BED BUGS! Those family members did not want to wake those of us with kids in the middle of the night, so they just stayed up all night). We tolerated the state of the room and "hotel" as we had children and did not want to relocate for a short stay, but bed bugs are unacceptable! The property and lobby and grounds had homeless looking individuals (and low end gangsters) loitering, but at least they kept to themselves. Upon check out, we found out these people were "long stays". They're residents at the "hotel" or associates of these residents. As we were packed our cars, we saw that some seemed to be employed to "maintain" the grounds. It seems that these residents are "employed" to subsidize their stay as cleaners and groundskeepers. So the "hotel" seems to be skimping on hiring real staff! It also is apparent that the Questionable Inn seems to use the residents for bolstering the comments and rating of the "hotel" to get average guests to book! I had checked out the reviews on multiple sites and lots of positive reviews or at least half decent reviews. Based on the state of the hotel, I cannot believe we were the only unlucky ones that got rooms like we did. The only saving grace was the front desk provided a refund! But we cannot get this experience out of our heads! It was pretty traumatizing! And the whole 6 hr drive home, we kept wondering if there were bed bugs now in all our things and had to go home and go straight to a laundromat so that we didn't bring bed bugs into our own homes. So that was a nice a stressful drive, without the actual time drive time! "Questionable Inn" should really just stuck to being a lower end, no frills, but clean hotel OR switch

I got to the hotel late and when I checked in, the room was beat - it smelled, stains on the curtains, TV didn't work and the sink would not drain. I asked for another room and this one was bad also. The tub did not drain and the entire place was dingy. Because it was late, I was forced to stay because I was tired. I tried to check-out the next morning because I was sick, they refused to refund me for the 2 days I wasn't at the hotel. In addition, the breakfast was terrible and there were unsavory people in and around the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!
