Upon arriving to the hotel i went in with my 2 small children. It was raining. My check-in was quite late in the night so i wanted to get my children to the room as quickly as possible. No one was at the desk. I range the bell and no one came. I called the hotel phones, heard them ringing and no one answered. We waiting quite a long time bwfore returing to our vehicle and didnt know what to do. I saw a man standing outside the hotel, not sure what he was doing as he looked to be just standing outside not doing anything. He saw us walk in and walk back to our car. After a bit of time that man walked back inside and went behind the desk. I realized he worked there. So finally we went in and got checked in and to our room. I felt very helpless when i could nor check into my room for such a long time after already booking it and paying online. No one answering phones and the managers voicemail said it was full. It definitely did not feel worth the money at that point but unfortunately i knew it would probably not be refunded to me if i left, even though there was no one there to check us in for a long time.

Shower was lukewarm...very low water pressure. I had filled out a review that was sent to me that same day and told the nice staff lady as well so she would be aware of the situation and my complaint.

As of 11/03/2025 haven't heard anything from Baymont/Wyndham....NOT HAPPY!!!

Terrible property. Price was way too high for what you get. Sink didn’t drain at all, totally backed up. I called the front desk, the staff blamed the sink not draining on contractors. We changed rooms. Ice maker in our building did not work. There was no coffee at breakfast

Location is perfect for Petoskey get away, with view of the Bay. Close to downtown, with charming shopping and very close to additional shopping like Ross, Marshall’s, Home Goods while still giving the feeling of “being up north”. Conveniently near a variety of chain restaurants if you want to mix it up with dining the charming ones in town. About 40 minutes away from the tunnel of trees with a spectacular look in the Fall. Clean decently comfortable beds. Fridge, microwave, tv, all you really need. About 45 minutes to Mackinac city if you want close but to still have more available to do. Friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Will be our GO TO spot for future up north getaways!

The staff had to be told when food needed to be filled at breakfast. There was a female staff that was on top of it and went out of her way to help people throw out their trash . The men, however , were in the office or elsewhere and someone would have to go find them and tell them when something was needed.

Parking was fine. Room was less than clean. When something was said to the staff they didn't seem to care. There were body wash and shampoo dispensers in the shower, but they were empty. Didn't eat breakfast because the small room was full and nowhere to sit. Thankfully we only stayed one night.
