The young man at the front desk was so friendly. We were able to bring our two dogs. We got a room at the end of the hall and that was very helpful when taking the dogs outside.

We were guests for nine nights. The staff was outstanding … friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was typical hotel, i.e. pancakes, bagels, cereal and sandwiches but was plentiful. Room was quiet and spotless.

There was an old bar of soap with hair on it wrapped in the shower curtain. There were hair dust bunnies in the bathroom. There was an old power ***** running across the furniture for the mini fridge. The tv was not usable because the WiFi message would not go away on the screen and the remotes would not work to enter the password. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was not picked up daily. Some days the towels were replaced, others they were not. On the last day we left in the morning to return at 10 at night and found smoke smell in the room and bathroom door closed. Told onsite person who said the smoke smell coming form the vent in the bathroom and put an air clean machine to draw out the smoke. Someone went into the room but did not straighten the towels. :-(

The staff was amazing. They were polite and friendly. They anticipated my needs and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and more. When I told the desk I was checking out at 4 am the next morning, the night staff have coffee and snacks ready for my departure. Thoughtful, clean, attentive and the room was great.

Felt more like a homeless shelter
For $200/night, the first room they gave us was either occupied of not cleaned. The next room had a toilet that did not flush well and completely clogged the next morning. We told them about it and left for the day. Instead of giving us another room, they fixed the clog, but it clogged again the next morning. Both nights there were groups of people using the patio and the patio was a total mess in the morning. People hanging out around the property seemed sketchy. Upon checkout, I requested some kind of refund for the twice-clogged toilet, and they gave me $30 back after spending $470 for two nights. After reviewing mt credit card, they charged me for 2 nights upon check-in and checkout, which appeared on my statement. Then there was a pending 2-night credit and the $30 credit, which wont be received until next statement. This place is a scam!

First and last stay at Microtel in Dover NH
Room was not cleaned. We had to go to desk and ask for fresh towels. When checking out told front desk what happened. They asked if we left Do not clean tag on door...there was no do not disturb/clean room tag on the door!
When checking out person at front desk not very accommodating. Asked that we don't hold it against them.
This was our first stay at Microtel in Dover...and our last.
We canceled reservations for a September trip.

Overnight
We received a text so that I could take care of check in before we arrived. Once there, all I had to do was show my ID, sign a paper and receive the keys. It was just my daughter and I, we arrived pretty late. There were two very kind gentlemen there to welcome us. The water pressure upstairs was amazing. The water got nice and hot. The bed was comfortable and we both slept very well. The breakfast was nice. She had oatmeal and I had pancakes. Once again I received a text, this time so that I could check out online. Super easy and as we left I gave the key and they wished us a good day. My daughter goes to school at UNH, we were here for early move in. It’s about 18 minutes to campus. We will definitely use this location again! Thank you!
