Poor management and cleanliness
Purchased this reservation months ago. Said it had a pool. Pool was out of order and would not let us out of out reservation. Kids were super bummed. poop dried up in the bathroom. Outside door did not lock. Was a terrible experience overall.

It was a nice stay for my quick trip through the area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. No complaints. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Super 8/Wyndham, in Ankeny, IA on July 12. The room was a great size. The front desk people were so friendly and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay there again and recommend anyone looking for a great hotel to stay there.

Room was over all unpleasant. Dirty and needs updating. We got to our hotel late after a concert and did online check in which was apparently for no reason because when we got there we had to do the entire process over again. Entering the hallway of our room, it had a gross smell and was extremely hot and muggy feeling which carried into the room(took a long time to cool off) The aircondioner looked disgusting like mold spots or dirt over the vents. Then when trying to shower quickly after a long hot day, we see the bathroom was not cleaned very well. The shower had gross dirt and stains throughout it, we also couldn't even get the shower to turn on. Then when trying to go to sleep the smoke detector began going off at 12 am, my husband had to slience it more than once.If we hadn't been traveling with our 9 year old who was beyond exhausted we would have left to find a different hotel. We will not return to this hotel.
